Burnout Paradise Remastered includes the original base game and the eight add-on game packs released during the Year of Paradise, including the extension to the drivable world with Big Surf Island. Burnout Paradise Remastered also features a range of technical enhancements for greater visual fidelity, including high resolution textures for players to explore Paradise City in 4K.
It’s also worth noting that this remaster won’t available for free to all owners of the original game. According to the developers, current owners of Burnout Paradise will get a 75% discount.

Very nice. I was going to to get it when it was on at least 50% sale anyway now I can get it day 1 at 75% off.
You don’t see racing games getting remasters, so BP is a big surprise.
That is because of expired licensing agreements with real car manufacturers. Since Burnout games have original cars they can easily remaster them without worrying about licensing issues. Older Need For Speed, Forza, Gran Turismo will never be remastered because of expired licenses.
I’ll forever love Flatout Ultimate Carnage, more of a full remake than remaster.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you own the game on Steam, you can redeem the CD Key from that in Origin for free. I’m guessing this will be an Origin only release.
Annoying that the same rule doesn’t apply for DRM-free keys originally purchased to be downloaded via the Gamefly (now Direct2Drive) client.
I didn’t even know they ever sold DRM Free keys for this game. I’d email EA support. I can’t say I have high hopes that they’ll help you out, but it’s worth a shot at least.
I suppose I meant to say the retail version of which was also available to purchase digitally. It even uses Origin’s servers and updates to version 1.1 via Origin… and yet Origin doesn’t let the key be registered. Sigh!
Here is where you can find your CD Key, for those unaware.

I seem to remember you can do that with a few other games…
Wow so kind for EA to give us 75% off on a game that looks like the last one with only minor improvements. Must have tons of microtransactions or some other scam straight hamfisted in it for them to slap a discount on it. Why didn’t owners of the console version get their for a discount? Because they know we wont buy it on PC when we already own the first one with mods and better performance.
PC version of the original game doesn’t have Big Surf Island, so even at 75% it’s worth it.
Have to reinstall Origin because this? No…
Maybe Blur can make me to reinstall Origin, maybe.
“Reuploaded”
I still feel buyer’s remorse every time this game is mentioned. Add split screen or never ever talk about it again.
Wow. I like these release date announcements 4 days before the release.
hahaha Origin only and expecting us to buy it again?.
Sod off EA. At least we have devs that respect the PC community like with Red Faction.
Good for you, but there are more better efforts out there from smaller and bigger devs than what EA is offering.
Nice try to deflect for your fave company though.
nah. I actually like AAA games that aren’t run by greedy af companies that murder beloved PC IP’s.
Rekstar?.
Never heard of them.
Nope, in fact I actually think R*’s GTA V port was rather mediocre, while also milking players wallets via shark cards and MP based content.
Hard Reset was great.
