IGN has spotted an interesting listing on Amazon Italy. From the looks of it, Activision will be releasing a remastered version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
For what it’s worth, the listing are legit and were listed by Activision Blizzard as we can see here and here.
There are some red flags though, so take this listing with a grain of salt. For starters, Amazon Italy has also listed COD: MWR Remastered (which seems kind of wrong in all sorts of ways as that extra “R” makes it feel like a simple placeholder).
As such, we mark this as a rumour. A remastered version of Modern Warfare 2 could happen, however this particular listing feels more like a placeholder. On the other hand, this is listed by Activision Blizzard itself. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is also listed by Activision Blizzard so this could very well be legit.

COD MWR Remastered
hmmmm……maybe Activision is planning to do a Remaster of the Remastered COD MW and charge another $40 for that one too. See, they get to sell the game 3 times that way.
I would be doing that too if morons keep paying for it.

Black Ops 1 and maybe even Blops 2 were really good I thought.
Id only consider CoD 1 and 2. Nothing else is worth remastering, after 4 that is.
Yeah I agree…the MW1 & 2 still look good in 4k…but we already know this is just stupid cashing in on the fame.
COD 1 & 2 would really be amazing if ported to modern engine with current-gen animations and FX!
