In case you missed Ubisoft’s free giveaways, the French company is once again offering Watch_Dogs, World in Conflict & Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag for free for a limited time. These three titles are free on UPLAY right now. From today and until December 23rd, you can log into UPLAY and claim your free copies.
You can get your free copies either from UPLAY or by visiting the following links:
Watch_Dogs
World in Conflict: Complete Edition
Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag
Do note that these free offerings will end on December 23rd at 10:00 AM UTC. As such, go ahead and acquire your free copies while you still can.
Contrary to the free to play weekend that other publishers are offering, Ubisoft is giving away free copies of its titles. This means that these games will be yours to keep and play, for ever.

UBI is being very generous these days!!!
Agreed, and it’s smart for them to do it too. They want to build their membership base on Uplay. If you sign up for an account you might buy some games or DLC from them also.
Imagine someone who hasn’t played much Assassin’s Creed… They see Black Flag offered for free and decide to give it a try. Now imagine how much they will want to buy all of the other Assassin’s Creed games after. It was a very smart move indeed.
AC 4 Black Flag is showing as “Sold Out”. This for a game key on the publisher’s very own digital store no less. Only Ubisoft could screw up this badly. Oh, Ubisoft!
Nothing really generous about it. It’s just simple business tactics. When the base game sales dry up, give it away for free so a percentage of the new player base will be enticed to buy DLC/season pass for it.
Bought WD and the SeasonP for cheap, played it with the mods, almost did a full completionist run, loved it. Now it’s free? If you haven’t got it, get it. Fantastic game IMO.
its not awesome, i like the idea but the execution is horrible, trully you have no taste in games and that comes from someone who wasnt trashing the game unlike everyone else.
Seems like Ubi is playing the “oh please join and stick with our client, please!” card. I’m still not falling for it.
They’re not selling anything other than Ubisoft games on Uplay – why does it matter? Even if you buy the game on Steam, you have to link it to your Uplay account and therefore have an account. What are you “not falling for” oh smart one? You get offered free games and then turn them down because you’re “too smart to fall for it” but there’s no downsides to it in reality… Maybe the only thing you’re falling for is your own ignorance.
“oh smart one”
I can tell it’ll be a a worthless endeavor to talk with you any further.
I’ll actually take a user’s advice from a few months back and block the “ignorant” ones.
That sounds like something someone without an argument would say.
Blocking speech you disagree with – Now where have I seen this before…
PC Gamer’s comments sections?
Polygon’s comments sections?
So many choices, so little tolerance…
GAAAAAAAHHHH!!
I’M TRIGGGERED!!!!
Safe space… safe space … WHERE IS MY SAFE SPAAAAAACCCEEEEE
Have some cookies and milk to help ease the deep psychological trauma, haha!
Breast milk only. And only from non-hetero, non-gender-binary parents. Anything else would make it worse.
Indeed. Milk must not be spared from the ‘diversity’ agenda!
I’ve been banned from Polygon twice while being dumbstruck by their awful SJW agenda on Witcher 3 and both its expansions.
LoL block someone whoever disagrees with you? smh, what a snowflake…
Says the snowflake.
dumb commie
Get to blocking you private profile full throttle loser.
“I hate games and your opinion, hurr durr!”
Stay off the internet comment section if you can’t handle it.
And by your comment count, maybe you need to buy some games since free isn’t good enough for you.
Too much time on your hands, not enough braincells. 😉
Obviously time has been wasted on you 😉
who is ignorant though? Pretty much anyone who dissagrees with you.
No, just the ones who reply with petty insults.
I mention an option, and advice that was given to me by multiple people here over the years, and others mocked me and anyone else for taking the option. I’d say it’s justified it’s existence as an option to make use of.
And yet the game is free, maybe try forming your own opinion instead of listening to others.
I for one am glad I bought and played WD (full price or not). But sure big man, listen to others, seems to be working out for you.
You SAYING it’s justified and you SHOWING that it’s justified are two different things.
“The only proof you need = my feelings”
Well, I can’t argue with that one…
Don’t worry, Ubisoft have done an Ubisoft by having managed to screw it up! See my other comment for details.
It just amazes me how people are seeing this tactic as “generous”, when in reality, they have to adopt the same tactic EA took, in order to net anything from their storefront. For years Ubisoft have delivered bad ports for PC gaming. For years they have been trying to find ways to control PC gaming via their methods of using DRM and they even called the platform as pirates some years back (which they never apologised for).
It’s like people here are far more willing to do an emotional 180 and praise them for one tactic they should have employed years ago, before Valve or anyone else who started it off.
Their client is still miles behind Steam, let alone GoG Galaxy, yet fanboys are more than willing to give them a free pass because they love creed #9 and other milked franchises they’ve run with over the years.
Why would I pat a company, that has treated and called me a pirate for years, delivered me bad ports, layering DRM on top of the bad ports and charging for more money, on the back?. Some people on the internet are just plain spineless and weird. There are plenty of hardcore weebs on Steam, that truly believe that they must drop all and any standards, while sucking up to Japanese devs, in the hopes they might see another sequel to an already old franchise, appearing on Steam’s store some years from now.
They have gall to talk down to those who just want a competent port job,one that actually makes use of the PC platform, rather than just a bare bones expensively charged port job that’s basically a straight up port of a lower end console version.
The peasantry are easily led.
It is generous for ubisoft. 😀
We talking about the people who actually gone back to old games and added drm to them.
So all of this fuss and refusal to accept two free games over getting your poor little feelings triggered because a big company called you a pirate and never apologized for it?
I’m really struggling not to laugh at this.
Tactic or not, it’s two free games, no strings attached. Creating a UPlay account to claim them hardly seems like a risk of any kind to me. Ubisoft was founded as a business with the purpose of making money, not a charity to donate entertainment to the masses for free. Why you would be surprised by Ubisoft’s motives to sell more products is beyond me.
Dude it is all good, Steam games are Uplay games anyway and make Steam a launcher into Uplay(it has always been this way).
Don’t miss out on Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, the game owns!
That’s what irks me the most, is the fact that Ubi is using Steam as a second store, yet ultimately demanding you use their launcher, which effectively adds a second layer of DRM onto their game.
I’d rather buy from devs who use one launcher and not rerouting you to another.
But you’re not “buying” anything in this case. The games are free.
How exactly does the DRM in UPlay detract from your experience?
I mean, I agree as much as the next guy that less software running is better, but I can’t blame companies for wanting to protect their software to maximize their sales. If the DRM doesn’t detract from my experience when I buy a game, then I really don’t care if it’s there.
And before you cite Origin’s CPU usage as an example, note that first of all, the Denuvo/VMProtect DRM combo is nothing to do with Uplay but that game application itself, and also, the effect on CPU performance hasn’t even remotely been quantified. It’s just assumed without evidence by most that Origin’s CPU usage is high only because of the DRM.
i enjoyed a lot Watch Dogs 1 the story was excelent <3
True,better than Watch Dogs 2.
Cool, Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag owns.
