  1. I can’t wait to drive the 1992 Toyota #99 All American Racers Toyota Eagle Mk III!!! That is new to the series and is a beast of a car. Plus this bodes well for the coming DLC as pretty much every car that has been in the Forza franchise is in this game already. Meaning that pretty much all of the upcoming Car Packs will be new cars to the series! I can’t wait!!!

  2. Elephant in the room guys, where are the Japan tracks? As a previous Gran Turismo player I find it absolutely ridiculous to not have any in the game. Fuji, Tsukuba and Suzuka are pretty important IMHO

      1. Xbox X run Forza 7 with maximum details 4K 60fps at 88% of own power. This console is not faster than GTX 1080 but its better optimized

        1. LOL… Forza 7 is native 4K 60fps ultra details on Xbox X. This game is designed as 4K native for Xbox X as proof of console power 🙂

          1. LOL… Forza 7 is full 8 million pixels ultra details at 4K 60fps… even with some effects not available on PC version such as HDR, 3D cube reflections and more

          2. LOL.. This game is designed for Xbox X as native 4K game… and downgraded on PC (removed HDR etc)

          3. LOL… you can’t create games on PC because current PC graphics cards have too little memory. Xbox devkit have 24 GB of GDDR5 video memory which is needed to create games for Xbox X (12 GB).

During development games use a lot more memory than final version so you need at least 16-20 GB of video memory. There are no PC graphics cards with more than 12 GB of video memory. This is main reason why devkit use 24 GB of GDDR5 video memory 🙂

        2. “Xbox X run Forza 7… at 88% of own power”

So your beloved Microsoft’s next console is nearly maxed out before it’s even been released! gg

      2. Stop trying to inflate the potential of a $500 console. Unplug from M$’s marketing brainwashing campaign.

If you buy a $500 console you’ll get $500 of performance. The Xbox is just a fancy case with 2-3yo computer hardware inside of it with software developers optimizing the HELL out of their games to try and make the hardware look better than it is.

Consoles will always be a lousy dollar to performance investment.

      1. It’ll be a lot more money than just $500 when one takes into account that,

        – it’s a mid-gen console update so that’s a requirement of two consoles purchased within the past 4 or so years.

        – the not inconsiderable annual fee paid to Microsoft to remove their online gaming paywall multiplied by the number of years this console generation lasts

        – significantly higher game prices on console relative to PC

So for the first two expenses alone that’s a further circa $900 which brings the subtotal to $1400 and that’s without having purchased a single game.

        1. Yup.

The last console I played on exclusively was SNES. I got my kids a PS3 and 360 in 2008. I finished 3 games on those platforms in the time we had them until they started to collect dust and I put them on Craigslist less than two years later.

They’re just not good dollar to value propositions. Branded PCs made specifically for gaming, for me, are a waste.

Console gamers for some reason don’t understand that there is absolutely no barrier of entry into console gaming; PC gamers are PC gamers because we choose to be, because the prospect of consoles aren’t enough to sway us. Too many limitations, too many compromises and being trapped in a monopolized walled garden is anti-consumer to the point I’ll never own another console. There’s no need.

          1. Indeed. I own and enjoy gaming on a large amount of consoles (largely due to being a keen retro gamer) but the glory days of consoles are long gone. With the possible exception of Nintendo Switch as an outlier, today’s consoles are nothing more than chronically underpowered gaming PCs with a host of annoyances, limitations and obscene business practices.

Long gone are the days when consoles had their own identity, unique appeal and ease of use practicality. For all of Switch’s limitations (and there are many), I’ll credit Nintendo for at least managing to keep things a little more simple like consoles always once used to be, i.e. plug and play gaming with little in the way of the extra hassles seen on competitors’ consoles. That said, Nintendo are soon to be introducing their own mandatory subscription scheme on Switch to play online so, sadly to say, they’ve also become a fully paid up member of the peasantry.

The last console I truly marvelled at was Sega Dreamcast and possibly also Nintendo GameCube. Things first started to go downhill, albeit very gradually at first, from the moment Microsoft entered the console industry with the original Xbox and it reached its nadir with their plans for Xbone which they were forced into backtracking on.

I’ll happily play on my consoles (played some Vectrex and Atari Lynx yesterday) but for current-gen gaming I just don’t see the point of consoles any more when PC does it so much better. Thanks to the advent of a more stable OS (Windows 7 onwards) and the unifying force that is Steam, PC gaming has gone from strength to strength. Pretty much all non-Nintendo game franchises that were once to be found only on consoles now appear on PC and I certainly don’t see the point of buying a Sony console for the tiny number of worthwhile exclusives they have.

Other than for children younger than, say, ten years’ old (who’ll likely be content with mobile gaming, anyway) and perhaps also the mentally infirm I don’t see the point in consoles today when another vastly superior option is so easily available.

    1. You don’t know if a 1080 is needed to run the game at 4K @ 60 fps, despite official requirements. Also, FM6 Apex is a different game.
12 GB is not just for video memory on the XBOX ONE X and 4K won’t be native.
You further added unnecessary extras to the PC to increase its total cost to suit your argument better. There’s no need to spend $260 on a case, no need for xbox gamepad+ wifi for $60, no need to pay $100 for a W10 license and no need for a 4K player; that’s $510 less right there.
