Rainbow Six: Siege surpasses 20 million registered players

Ubisoft has announced that Rainbow Six: Siege has surpassed 20 million registered players, and that there are more than 2.3 million players signing on every day. That’s definitely great news for the French company, and shows how successful this latest Rainbow Six game actually is.

As Nicolas Lefebvre, Product Director of Rainbow Six: Siege, said:

“Our community is growing and so is our ambition to make Siege a shooter that is here to stay. The next few weeks are very exciting as it marks the culmination of Operation Health and the release of our next season set in Hong Kong.”

Since its release, Rainbow Six: Siege’s original roster of 20 Operators has expanded to 30, and 16 globe-spanning maps currently serve as the battlegrounds for the ongoing fight between attackers and defenders.

Ubisoft plans to keep supporting Rainbow Six: Siege in 2017 (and most probably in 2018).

    1. Still impressive though. Considering how small the playerbase was at release. The game has grown steadily since since then. Kind of opposite to OW which has steadily decreased. Either way I love hearing about good games that grow, it shows that some people still have brains in their heads.

  1. I haven’t played a good rainbow six in year, they don’t seem to following the battlefield trend of premium by offering free DLC so i guess i will give this one a whirl.. Though i don’t like supporting UBIsoft after that watchdogs consolizing thing.
