Brutal Doom is perhaps the best mod for id Software’s classic FPS. And as we informed you back in December 2012, talented modder ‘SGtMarkIV’ is working on a Brutal version for Raven Software’s classic title, Hexen. Jason Rubin, former president of THQ, today posted a long letter – via GamesIndustry.Biz – in which he tried to defend 4A Games, the creators of Metro: Last Light. Jason claimed that the entire 4A studio would fit easily in the (underutilized) gym at EA Los Angeles’ offices, and that the budget of Last Light is less than some of its competitors spend on cut scenes, and a mere 10 percent of the budget of its biggest competitors. Great news for action RPG fans as the alpha build of Grim Dawn will be coming tomorrow. Grim Dawn is an action role-playing game for PC and a spiritual successor to Titan Quest. For the past two years a small team of former Iron Lore veterans at Crate Entertainment have been developing Grim Dawn with their own, improved version of the Iron Lore engine and tools; the same technology used to create Titan Quest. Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Assassin’s Creed IV, showcasing the in-game graphics that this fourth part of its Assassin’s Creed series will sport. In Assassin’s Creed 4, players will take the role of pirate and Assassin Edward Kenway, grandfather of Connor of Assassin’s Creed 3. The game takes place in 1715 in the Caribbean, will feature new locations, and is planned for a November 1st release. Enjoy!
