Such a good game. Even gwent beta is freakin good
The last clips look incredible.
Looks great, can’t wait for it! The HD Texture mod just released version 4.0 a few weeks ago, but that causes frequent crashes in Novigrad so I had to downgrade that one for now 🙁
Version 4.1 just came out with fixed crashes in Novigrad
Sahweet! Probably gonna wait a bit just to let other guinea pigs see if its stable first.
Been playing on a new play through have not crashed once in Novigrad with the new version. Run the Witcher script merger program as well and point it at the Witcher 3 directory. Will show any conflicts any time you add a mod.
Example Turbo Lighting Mod will not work with depth of field on only cutscenes mod. That program will show the conflict so you don’t waste time :).
I am waiting for the super turbo alpha utlra 2 version to come out…
The name of the mod is deliberately tongue-in-cheek.
but who’s cheek are they tonguing?
Like so many people that were not satisfied with the downgraded retail version of the game I’ve been following this mod since its inception.
This screenshot of Novigrad (STLM 3.0 WIP, courtesy of Essenthy) coupled with Halk’s Novigrad wall roof textures is particularly amazing.

what mods you used to get such screen?
That screenshot is not mine but a courtesy of essenthy (the creator of STLM). As far as I know from his twitter post that had this screenshot he had the latest ” The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project by Halk Hogan PL” going for Novigrad wall roofs and his own STLM 3.0 and that’s pretty much it.
“increased view distance” ship at 0:49 doesn’t have sails 😀
Back in the olden days, boats didn’t have sails.
We would just flap our shirts and breeches around to catch dem there wind! Twas a sight to behold, yes siree.
That’s the quirk of the engine, there is nothing modders can do about it without a full-blown RedKit. Modkit is a joke.
99% of the LOD settings were locked down by the devs and there are no real mod tools.
This plus HD textures reworked mod = E3. The older versions also has no performance hit from HBAO +. If you can run it there you are set.
No, it’s a ba***rd E3 but the best we’ll get without real mod support.
Indeed. If the game shipped with STLM 3.0 level of visuals I bet CDPR would’ve gotten twice or even thrice as much flak for downgraded graphics. It’s mind boggling that if STLM has no effect on FPS whatsoever since it uses existing env tables and rearranges them for every scene and different locations why couldn’t devs just apply all those envs the same way to console versions?
Lol the mods censored bastárd in my comment.
It seems like there might have been a major shift in art direction, maybe a new person came in.
I would love some comparison shots.
Can’t wait to replay the game with this lighting.

More people needs to upload their stuff on vimeo, its just better.
this is with mode???? wooow
Imagine if TW3 shipped with this kind of graphics. If only we could just unsee/forget the reality of the retail game.
Wish we had the tech to erase specific memories, I want to experience the game all over again but with all the mods that make it miles better.
No kidding, man. “You can’t make a first impression twice”.
Potentially amazing mod! It’s features list seems to cover some of what a few existing mods do so Script Merger will be handy once more.
Any mod that modifies .env files is incompatible.
>the super-impressive E3FX ReShade profile
The Reshade profiles for this game are garbage and they are not compatible with STLM.
You can’t use Reshade profiles that alter any color settings because the game has 100s of different color profiles that are set per-scene and per-location.
STML modifies most of the color grading and tone mapping in the game, tuned on each separate area.
Any Reshade that changes colors/contrast/saturation, etc is indirect conflict.
“The Reshade profiles for this game are garbage”,
Your opinion is garbage.
Stunning, but really says nothing without valid comparisons to previous version and/or vanilla version… Personally I’m waiting for the “enhanced edition” before I decide to pick this game up 🙂 Good things comes to those who wait.
It’s been confirmed several times that there will not be any enhanced edition and all development on the game has ceased months ago, everyone moved onto Cyberpunk and Gwent.
GOTY edition was the last hope at getting it, before we found out that it was just a repack.
Thanks for the info man!
