In September 2022, we shared a fan video, showing off Angelina Jolie from Tomb Raider: Lara Croft in Unreal Engine 5. And earlier this week, the artist shared a new cinematic video, this time featuring both Angelina Jolie and Christoph Walz.
In this cinematic teaser, Angelina Jolie plays Lara Croft and Christoph Walz plays Mr Von Croy. Moreover, to create these characters, the artist did not use any AI or DEEPFAKE tools for the creation of the assets, the environment, the faces of these two actors and the audio.
Now while Lorenzo did not use any AI tools, he did use assets from Megascan. To create the characters, the artist used UE5’s Metahuman, alongside Texturing XYZ for the skin texturing and the hair from the 3D scan store.
As you will see, this cinematic is a bit short. Still, it looks lovely to me, and it sports some truly amazing visuals. Also, both the in-game 3D models for Angelina Jolie and Christoph Walz look like the actors themselves. So, kudos to the artist for making them look this good.
Before closing, there are currently no plans to release this project to the public. As you will see in the video, there is a “game” menu. However, there isn’t in reality any game. From what we know, there aren’t even any settings to tweak. So, don’t get your hopes up. This is just a concept video and nothing more.
Speaking of Unreal Engine 5, you should also check out the following fan projects. For instance, you can find some faithful remasters of Dark Souls and Dark Souls 3, which are super cool. A few days ago, we also shared an amazing remake of Toy Story 2. Then there’s this fantastic fan remake of STALKER that’s worth a look. Then there’s this fantastic fan remake of STALKER that’s worth a look. Oh, and don’t miss the Grand Theft Auto 6 fan concept in UE5; it’s pretty impressive. Earlier this month, we also shared fan remakes of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas and GTA 3, as well as an Uncharted fan game. We also have a fan remaster of Unreal Gold in UE5. You should also watch the full-on remake video for Final Fantasy 9.
Need for Speed Carbon and Tony Hawk’s Underground have also received some cool remakes. And if that’s not enough, there are fan remakes for Star Wars: Republic Commando, Death Stranding, Fallout 4, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s Solitude, Grand Theft Auto 4, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Fallout 4, Resident Evil 1, Skyrim’s Winterhold and Silent Hill 3’s Lakeside Amusement Park. There is also this Studio Ghibli stylized teaser for Zelda: Ocarina of Time in Unreal Engine 5. So, lots of UE5 fan remakes, right? Well, since they’re all really cool, we suggest giving them a watch.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

If only there was a uBlock script to block every "recreation of blah blah in Unreal engine" post!
the beginning feels like a knock-off 3D p*rn scene
That's not a bad thing at all
Random guy creates a main menu with UE5
John : MASTERPIECE !!
Random guy creates a main menu with UE5
John : MAST3RB4TE!!
enough with realism.
this is depressing, an unreal engine demo manages to create a better looking lara croft than the next tomb raider game from woke crystal dynamics
Is that all? He has spent countless hours creating the models I presume just for a one-minute movie (excluding the intro and outro). It seems like such a waste of potential. The model is impressive, though. I’m guessing that animation isn’t his strongest skill.
It's not a waste of potential, it's a demonstration of potential. This is the kind of thing CG students make to fill their portfolio so they can apply to jobs in the games industry.
Amazing Job! and he did all the work alone that's impressive!
"All the work"
You mean a main menu and 30 seconds of nothing, stop praising anything, for a simple comparison, there is a solo guy who did a complete "playable" remake of the 1st level of TR2 on UE4, and that's amazing, this thing is cheap AF, elevate your standards
but the title said TEASER not new game, and why you compare a small project like this with nicobass's project who took years to do it.
Maybe learn something before write bullshit and stop telling people if they can like or not something. I am judging for what i am looking at and porpuse of the project, so a teaser tribute made by a fan. He didn't write " here the next tomb raider game" , it's a TRIBUTE
Tells the guy who went nuts and downvoted everyone who disliked this sh*t, you liked it because you either j*rked-off to it or you're just dumb, maybe both ?
who cares men i can like and dislike anything i want… the only thing i read is a person who doesn't have arguments. i didn't even dislike your comment about john, wtf is your point
You definitely j*rked-off to it
hahaha ok men whatever you want 😀
>complete "playable" remake of the 1st level of TR2 on UE4
yeah and it took him 5 years
SOOOOOOOOOOOO UGLY
the only good Lara croft movie is this one
The Borders of the Tomb Raider 3 – Darklust
zero horses out of ten.
There’s always Breaking the Quiet or Lara with horse if you love horses. But I bet they’re already in your bookmarks
3D p*nography is promising
At the beginning I was a little weirded out by Angelina Jolie's face.
Pretty hot, I'd jack off to her
