SNK has released a new trailer for its upcoming 3D Samurai Shodown fighting game, Samurai Spirits. This trailer focuses on the characters that will be available in the game, and also packs some new gameplay footage.
Samurai Spirits will feature 3D visuals but will retain its 2D fighting gameplay style, will be powered by Unreal Engine Samurai Spirits, and some of the confirmed characters are Haohmaru, Jubei Yagyu, Nakoruru, Earthquake, Galford, Ukyo, Genjuro, Tamtam and Hanzo.
At first I wasn’t really sure about this new 3D Samurai Shodown game but it appears that SNK has further polished the animations and hit reactions. As such, the game that is being showcased here does actually feel like a Samurai Shodown game so I’m pretty excited about it.
Samurai Spirits is currently scheduled for a Fall 2019 release on the PC.
