    1. 10 years later, games finally achieved crysis 1 graphics (almost)

But PC specs will need a graphic card capable of running 2 Crysis at the same time.

          1. that because 1080p monitor had 1,7 times less pixels than 1440p. My previous monitor was also 1080p so i know how it looks like

        1. It’s just trailer, 1080p is standard, also what you see on youtube is crappy because of compression technic they use, so you wouldn’t be getting true 1440p either way.

          1. TV shows and “movies” are typically shot in 50 or 60 fps actually. That’s part of the “TV look” and part of the reason why people thought 48 fps looked like TV when they saw the Hobbit.

          2. It just isn’t broadcasted in 50 or 60fps. Some of that look can be because of the lack of similar motion blur due to not being shot at 24,25,30 fps. I guess it’s called the soap opera effect. But no, TV programs aren’t high framerate and that’s obvious to see.

  1. I’m honestly not worried about the port because even though EA is a crappy company they’ve got a good track record with regards to performance of their ports.

    1. EA said that their games are made for pc and then ported to consoles, this is maybe the reason for very good optimisation.

  2. From the looks of it it’s gonna be more of a shooter , less of an RPG. I know there is a cover mechanic, but in the trailer it looks like a 5-year old is playing COD. No offense to 5-year old’s.

    1. mass effect has been like that since ME2. i think the original idea with mass effect was to be RPG game with some shooter element on it. but with ME2 they make it more heavy on the shooting part. and it really works for the game. they also try to use some ME2 formula on Dragon Age 2 but obviously it does not go well for more traditional RPG. hence Dragon Age Inquisition plays nothing like DA 2 at all.

      1. I agree with you, ME2 and 3 were heavy on the shooter part, but from what I’ve seen from the different footage released until now, it seems this time that it is too much of a shooter(mind you, I might be completely wrong 🙂 , this is only from what I have seen till now). The person who is playing in the trailer doesn’t even use the cover mechanic, just pew-pew all the way (maybe she/he is playing on very easy or something like that, but still, it’s not a good made trailer – or maybe it’s made for FPS’s fans and not RPG ones). .

    1. An improvement, actually, over ME1/2 which had no native controller support (not sure if 3 did or not), meaning fans had to mod it in.

PC gaming is about options. And I know many people (myself at one point) who would have liked to have played those games on a TV with a controller, but couldn’t (at the time the mod didn’t exist).

    2. So Rocket League, and nearly all games that are build for gamepad are dirty console ports? You’re pathetic.

        1. WTF? Do you srsly don’t see that movement from player who played teh game was captured with controller and not mouse and keyboard?

Just because it was captured with PC doesn’t mean it wasn’t played with gamepad

          1. All AAA shooters recently are build with gamepads in mind. Should’ve figured that out by now.

          2. Afaik recent Call of Duty’s have had decent mouse support and generally decent settings on PC. No proper FOV support though. If they had that I might have actually bought AW or BO3 for pub stomping laughs.

Of course the game is fundamentally designed around controllers, but you can still differentiate between games who leave it at that and essentially make your mouse simulate an analog stick with acceleration, smoothing and everything, and games that properly read and use input from a mouse. If they demo the game with a controller on PC it usually points at bad mouse input.

    3. The problem is not that the UI shows controller buttons, the problem is that they’re using a controller to show a SHOOTER in action on PC. But I agree that it has to be a straight port. If they had adapted the gameplay to mouse aim they would want to show it off. The game will be trivial with mouse aim as difficulty will be balanced around analog stick aim, and mouse aim will be plagued by smoothing, delay etc.

    4. And that surprises you? lol.

I expect a good story and arcade-y gameplay from ME:A. But the true king of this year is gonna be Star Citizen and Squadron 42.

    5. It might not be a console port. Publishers know that the PC is now in the living room connected to a large screen on a wall. Millions of PC gamers are now playing from their sofa, so the need for xbox pad configuration,

This is my setup as a PC gamer and I tend to avoid PC games that dont have good gamepad support

  3. You dont even need to see the button prompts for it to be obvious that this is played on controller, not the most reassuring sign that this is actual pc footage.

  4. I would have thought this reveal would have coincided with the 1080 Ti announcement. So colour me confused when I woke up this morning to hear nothing of it.

  5. It wasnt true 4k just uspcaled. You are talking about the video they showed on October when ps4 pro announced? I saw it and it is nothing compared to quality of graphics that my 970 on my 24” 1440p 60 hz ips monitor has.I mean that my 1440p monitor and gtx 970 already have better graphics than what they showed it on that 1080p upscaled to 4k hdr pro version

  6. They actually say “representative of game experience”, the absolute madmen. The downgrade proofs and fan butthurt will be awesome.

    1. Is this demo confirmed LDR? If it’s HDR then there isn’t much of a difference (except internal settings that make the PS4Pro capable of keeping up with a high end PC).

  7. peebee has saggy face.. so this generation of gaming.. all female need to look ugly and flat or something?

  8. ME series is third person shooter with classes, some stats, fake choices, where Shepard tries to fvck anything that moves.
