Resident Evil Requiem Leon S. Kennedy-2

First Resident Evil Requiem Update Released, Full Patch Notes

Capcom has just released the first Title Update for Resident Evil Requiem. This first patch is 1.4GB in size on PC. So, let’s see what it brings to the table.

This patch will update your game’s version to 1.110.000. From what I’ve seen, it also breaks mod compatibility. So, if you’ve been using mods, I suggest uninstalling or removing them. A lot of users have reported stability issues. So, if you are encountering crashes, you should remove all of your mods.

The March 4th Patch focuses on addressing Path Tracing performance and GPU‑specific stability. To be more precise, the update resolves a bug that could cause significant frame rate drops when using RTX 40 and 50 series GPUs.

This is the exact issue we reported a few days ago. What’s interesting here is that NVIDIA also released a hotfix driver to address this issue. So, this wasn’t just a driver issue? And if not, why were the previous drivers working better?

The patch will also fix intermittent application crashes and system freezes that occurred on certain hardware configurations. In addition, it improves the localization UI by adding dynamic resizing for text boxes. This will prevent text from overflowing when the game is displayed in different languages.

For what it’s worth, the game runs great with the new hotfix and this patch. So, this isn’t a placebo patch or driver. Those who upgrade will get better performance. As I said, though, the patch also breaks compatibility with mods.

Like always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. Below, you can also find its full patch notes.
