CryZENx, best known for his Unreal Engine 5 Fan Remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, is working on a new fan remake. This time, the artist is remaking The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap in Unreal Engine 5. And, a couple of days ago, CryZENx released the first dev video for it.
This video shows off what the artist aims to create. From what I can see, this fan remake will be a full 3D remake. As such, it can give us an idea of what this Zelda game could look like on modern platforms.
For those who did not know, The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap is a Zelda game that came out on Game Boy Advance in 2004. It serves as a prequel to Four Swords and Four Swords Adventures, telling the origins of the Four Sword and the villain Vaati.
In May 2026, we got an unofficial PC port of this game. So, I highly recommend downloading it and trying it. Once you have played it, you can rewatch this trailer, as it will give you an idea of what CryZENx will create.
As with the fan remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, this remake will not cover the entire game. Instead, the artist will focus on various areas. He will also add proper gameplay mechanics, meaning that you will be able to interact with NPCs, fight enemies, and solve puzzles.
There is currently no ETA for when the first public version will come out. Naturally, though, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
