A Closed Alpha Testing for Battlefield 2042 is currently underway and some users have leaked the first gameplay videos from it. These short videos will give you an idea of how this alpha build looks and plays like.
Needless to say that these videos do not represent the quality of the final product. After all, this isn’t even a beta build (it’s an alpha build). So yeah, keep that in mind while watching the videos.
Battlefield 2042 is a first-person shooter that will be focusing on multiplayer action. Thus, the game will not feature any traditional single-player modes. The game also promises to feature a cutting-edge arsenal into dynamically-changing battlegrounds supporting 128 players. Additionally, it aims to include unprecedented scale, and epic destruction.
Battlefield 2042 will release on October 22nd and will be using NVIDIA DLSS and NVIDIA Reflex techs.
Lastly, EA plans to release a short film for Battlefield 2042 in an hour or so. Therefore, I’ll be sure to update this story with that video (once it becomes available).

Battlefield 4 with mods. Looks terrible!
Played the play test today. Game looked worse than bf3 and the gun/gameplay felt like bf5. Many animations are missing. Blinking texts over dropped weapons. Destruction was exactly like BF3/4. There were bots on the server as well.

Didn’t go in with any expectations but seeing everything look that ugly was disappointing. Had errors initially when joining a server. Took about 5 minutes of constant join button spamming.
Bugs which I encounters today apart from blinking text on dropped weapons was going under the map at death, spawning on team mates is currently a hit or miss. Changing the fov breaks the quick gun customization screen making it invisible and the only way out was hold T for its menu and pressing 1-4 which made changes.
Nothing game breaking which is actually the good news.
The map is pretty and very colorful. Levolution was disabled.

Does anyone here not remember the BF4 Alpha? It looked 10x worse than this lol. It’s a technical test. Not saying the final game will be a glorious bug-free perfection but I wouldn’t judge any of the potato encoded footage here as the final product.
It is amusing seeing some folks in here thinking this game will have a glorious makeover in 3 or 4 months, because “it’s only testing phase, guys”.
