Overgrowth – Alpha 197 Adds GPU Character Skinning & Arena Level To Campaign

It’s been a while since our last look on Overgrowth, right? Well, here we are today with another alpha update for this amazing indie title, in which Wolfire Games’ main programmer, David, showcases some of the features that have been added to it. Contrary to other times, this latest update features a nice set of fixes and additions, as David added arena level with progressive difficulty, an arena level to campaign menu and GPU character skinning. Overgrowth Alpha 193 Changes

It’s been a while since our last look on Wolfire’s indie bunny title, Overgrowth. And even though the team has been polishing it, the game is still in alpha phase. Nevertheless, Overgrowth looks like one of the best indie attempts we’ve ever seen and Wolfire has released a new video, in which David Rosen showcases the changes that have been made to its latest alpha build. Overgrowth Alpha 191 Changes

It’s been a while since our last look on this amazing indie action-adventure game. Wolfire Games has released a new trailer for Overgrowth, in which David Rosen showcases the changes that have been made to its latest alpha build. Overgrowth might feature an inventory system, as players can currently attach non-weapon gear (20 gear attachment slots were added to the game in this latest alpha build). In addition, David fixed a problem with enemies drawing non-weapon items when threatened. Overgrowth looks and plays great, though it has been in alpha stage for quite a while. Overgrowth Alpha 187 Changes

Wolfire Games has revealed the changes that have been made to its action adventure brawler’s latest alpha version. This week, David Rosen added support for multiple mission objectives, mission objectives for visiting hotspots, must-visit hotspot, victory hotspot and a scriptable UI system separate from level script. In addition, David improved the challenge level selector screen and fixed a problem with missing image files. Those interested can pre-order Overgrowth and gain access to its alpha versions. Overgrowth Alpha 186 Changes; Potential Campaign/Tutorial Mode Added

Wolfire Games has released a new video for Overgrowth, in which the company’s main programmer, David Rosen, explains the changes that have been made to the latest alpha version of the game. This week, David added ten early prototype challenge levels, an initial challenge level selection menu and added LevelSet xml files, which list a whole set of challenge levels to display in selector. Overgrowth Alpha 185 Changes

Wolfire Games has released a new video for their amazing indie game, Overgrowth. In this video, the company’s programmer, David Rosen, showcases some of the changes he has done in the latest alpha build of the game. This week, David added a Challenge-End UI which gives information about the gamers’ last playthrough. Wolfire Games has released a new video that showcases the changes that have been made to the latest alpha version of Overgrowth. This week, David Rosen added a ‘case error’ alert and a ‘process pool’ toggle to config. Most of you won’t even bother with these features but let us tell you that they are really importan for developers and modders. Overgrowth looks great but we feel that the game has hit a wall or something, as there hasn’t been any major updates lately. Wolfire Games seems to be polishing various features but what we want to see is something more than an environment with some bunnies fighting each other. Overgrowth Alpha 180 Changes; Linux Support Added

Wolfire Games has released a new video that showcases the changes that have been made in the latest alpha version of Overgrowth. This week, David Rosen has added Linux support, tweaked the terrain preprocessing and as a result of that, the game uses much less RAM, and fixed some animation problems. Overgrowth Alpha 178 Changes

Wolfire Games have released a new video that showcases the changes that have been made to the latest alpha version of Overgrowth. This week, David Rosen has set up proper animatable wolf rig, started to overhaul level load system and fixed a memory leak when saving shadow textures.
