Valve rolled out a new update for Steam, in which the company noted that the Windows XP SP1 support will be dropped on August 31st. This obviously does not mean that Steam will stop working on Windows XP SP1 systems. However, the company will not provide any help or support when players face problems with it (at a later date). In addition, there is a possibility for a future update to break Steam on Windows XP SP1. Continue reading Valve drops Windows XP SP1 support for Steam on August 31st→
Now here is something interesting. DEEP is a new animated film based in a post-apocalyptic Earth where humanity has moved underwater to stay alive. I seriously don’t know whether this is good or bad news. A couple of minutes ago, the Black Mesa team revealed that they’ll be releasing some new media for their game when their Facebook page hits 20K likes and as of right now, there are only 7K likes. You see, it might take a while until their FB page hits this target and imagine if they release a couple of screenshots when they hit that mark. Yeah, it will be cool but at this point, we bet that most of you are interested on a video (or the mod itself). Continue reading Attention Half-Life fans; Incoming Black Mesa: Source Media→

It’s really ironic, isn’t it? E3 is about to start and – as you’d expect – there is no mention or hints about Half Life 3. Okay, there were some onion rings but… come on. You can’t possibly take that onion rings seriously now, can you? Unless of course they are really tasteful, in which case Valve should keep them coming. Apart from those onion rings though, Valve has not revealed anything and according to the company’s Chet Faliszek, when Valve announce Half Life 3, they’ll do it their way and not by simply revealing it via a T-Shirt or some hidden web code. Continue reading Valve: When we announce Half Life 3, we’ll do it our way→

Portal fans, get ready for a nice surprise. Aperture: Lab Ratt is a live action interpretation of VALVe’s web comic ‘Portal 2: Lab Rat’ and follows the story of the schizophrenic hero behind the walls; Doug Rattmann. Everything in this film is great and ironically, even the acting is good. We’ve seen a lot of live action films that lacked in that area, so that’s good news. The film is created by Synthetic PictureHaus (Nick Celentano & Ryan Anthony Martin). Enjoy! Continue reading Portal gets a 14 minute live action fan film→
