And here comes another Portal short film. Portal: Survive! is a live-action short based on the hit game Portal, and the tie-in comic “Portal 2: Lab Rat.” This film is directed by Colin and Connor McGuire, and was shot for under $500 at the YouTube Space LA. Needless to say that you really need to check it out as it’s a really great short film. Steam Machines – Prototype Model Detailed – High-End Hardware Coming To Your Living Room

Valve has revealed the specs for the prototype model of its Steam Machines. According to the company, 300 units will be made based on these mixed specs, and this prototype model will be sent to beta testers. Some of those prototypes will be equipped with Nvidia’s Titan cards, while others will be packed with GTX780s, GTX760s, and GTX660s. And despite the fact that Nvidia has teamed Valve for the Steam Machines, users will be able to replace the GPUs with ones from the ‘red’ team. Now the question is whether Valve is actually working on it or not. Is Half Life 3 actually happening or is Valve trying to protect its IP by filing a trademark (you know, in case others want to get their hands on that name)? Okay, admit it everyone; you thought that Valve’s third announcement would be either about Half Life 3 or Left 4 Dead 3 (or another game). Go ahead, admit it, don’t lie to us. You really wished and hoped for something like that, right? Well, get ready to get disappointed as Valve’s third announcement is about the Steam Controller. Now the big news here is that the Steam Controller will be used with either Steam Machines or the PC. New Evidence Suggests That Source Engine 2 & Left 4 Dead 3 Are Currently Under Production

Reddit’s user ‘Tunesz’ has shared the following image, showcasing an internal change log at Valve that was captured during a recent tour of Valve’s Seattle office. According to the change log, Source Engine 2 and Left 4 Dead are currently under development, something that should not obviously shock us. After all, we’ve known for a while that Valve was working on a new version of its Source engine. On the other hand, Left 4 Dead 3 was hinted a couple of days ago by Valve’s Marc Laidlaw. Still, it’s good to see an almost official confirmation for both of them. Valve has not commented on this yet (and we don’t expect it to do so).
