SEGA has released a new trailer for Gearbox’s upcoming Aliens game, Aliens: Colonial Marines. This trailer focuses on the game’s story and showcases how badass marines can actually be. It looks cool, though we kind of wonder whether acid will be as deadly as it was in all previous games (especially since there are a lot of QTE in which we can almost taste the acid blood of the aliens). Man, what an exciting afternoon it was. Yes, unfortunately THQ has been shut down and it’s really sad witnessing such a publisher going down. However, most of the company’s assets have been succesfully acquired by other companies, so there is nothing to worry about. Unless of course you’re interested in a new Darksiders 2 as Vigil Games was not sold to anyone and if THQ does not find a seller in the coming months, the studio will most probably close. SEGA announced that the PC version of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed will feature characters from acclaimed developer Valve allowing players to race for first place as the Pyro, Heavy and Spy from Team Fortress 2. Available for PC digital download on January 31, 2013 Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed will also feature two other new and exclusive characters all of whom are available to play as from the start of the game. SEGA and Gearbox today unveiled the official PC system requirements for their upcoming aliens game, Aliens: Colonial Marines. According to the publisher and the developer, PC gamers will at least need a dual-core CPU with 2GB of RAM and 20GB of free hard disk space. Quite surprisingly – and contrary to Aliens vs Predator – Aliens: Colonial Marines won’t support any DX11 features, as it seems that it is a DX9-only game. Otherwise, Windows XP would not be included in the Recommended specs. Here is hoping that Gearbox will surprise us. The good news here is that the game also supports Windows XP. Okay Sonic fans, get ready for a nice surprise. We’ve seen in the past some awful fan films that were based on SEGA’s mascot, Sonic. Most of you thought that a proper Sonic movie was not possible, right? Well, you were partially right. BlueCoreStudios released today its fan-made Sonic film, in which AVGN makes a cameo appearance. Sonic looks F’ing incredible, though the whole acting is kind of meh. Also, dialogs sound louder than the environmental and special sound effects, making the whole film feel a bit cheap and unprofessional (this can be easily spotted on the Sonic fight at 10:30 mark). SEGA has released a new trailer for Aliens: Colonial Marines that focuses on the game’s storyline. I seriously hope that this new Aliens game will surprise me pleasantly, though I’m a bit disappointed from what I’ve already seen. Lots of scripted events everywhere and an awful AI make this a title that needs further polishing before rolling it out. Let’s hope that Gearbox will not disappoint us on this. Enjoy!
