Mod Brings ‘Classic Sonic’ in Sonic 4 – Episode 2

YouTube’s member ‘samothethief’ has shared an interesting mod for Sonic 4 – Episode 2. As the title suggests, this mod replaces the model and animations of Modern Sonic with a new re-adapted model of Classic Sonic from Sonic Generation. Furthermore, this mod includes Classic Super Sonic (rigged by JoeTE), Classic Tails model (rigged and adapted to Sonic 4 – Episode 2 by JoeTE) and Special Stage music replacement by Falk. Kotaku has spotted an interesting new video, in which we get a taste of Sonic the Hedgehog in first person mode. This video is similar to the one that was made for Super Mario Bros, though we have to admit that this ‘Sonic’ version feels a bit off. To be honest, Sonic game in first person mode would simply not work, and this video proves that SEGA’s platformer is not meant to be played via any other viewpoint, aside from the classic side-scrolling one of course.
