YouTube’s ‘Rod Lima’ has shared a new video, showing off a Resident Evil 2 recreation that he’s been working in Unreal Engine 3. As Lima noted, this project most of models, model animes and scenario were extracted from Capcom’s Resident Evil games. Resident Evil 2 Reborn HD is a fan-made game that aims to recreate the second part of the Resident Evil series. The team behind it has recently released a new video that can be viewed below, so make sure to give it a go if you are fans of older RE titles. Resident Evil 2 Reborn HD will have two camera viewpoints: fixed camera (similar to the classic RE games) and 3rd person. There is no ETA yet, though Capcom may send the team a C&D letter. YouTube’s ‘MrBZork’ has posted the third developer commentary for the fan-made remake of Resident Evil 1.5. Resident Evil 1.5 is being made by a team of hackers who obtained an incomplete build of the legendary scrapped version of Resident Evil 2, and are working to finish it. A couple of months ago, the team released an early version of it. There is no ETA yet about a more polished version, but it’s good to see the team still working on it. Last week, we informed you about an early version of Resident Evil 1.5. Well, good news is that the team has not received yet any C&D letter from Capcom. What really surprised us, though, was the dedication of this team in this project and the fact that they’re experimenting with some ‘modern’ ideas. As a result of that experimentation, Resident Evil 1.5 might feature a third-person camera viewpoint, similar to the one of all recent Resident Evil games. Remember the cancelled Resident Evil 2 game? Yeap, that one with Elsa Walker and Leon Kenedy? Well, good news everyone as a team of fans is currently recreating it. YouTube’s member ‘MrBZork’ has uploaded a video that showcases some of the action from this cancelled game. What is interesting here is that the video features some brand new – never before seen – scenes, suggesting that this is indeed a fan-made project or a total conversion for Resident Evil 2. There are hints for a Christmas reveal, though nothing is certain at this point.
