Czech online shop, Softech, lists Intel i9 9900KS at 655 US dollars

Last month, Intel revealed that its new high-end CPU, the Intel i9 9900KS, will release in October 2019. Intel i9 9900KS will feature 8 CPU cores that will be all clocked at 5Ghz, and will support twelve sixteen threads. Basically, it will be an overclocked 9900K out of the box. Intel’s 10th generation Core-X CPUs will launch on October 7th, will be available for sale in November

The specifications and the prices for Intel’s 10th generation Core-X series CPUs have been leaked online. According to the leak, Intel’s Core-X series will much cheaper than the previous generation. First small details surface for Intel’s next-generation CPU; “closer to the linear curve on performance”

At a gathering in U.C. Berkeley, VLSI guru Jim Keller shared the first details about Intel’s next-generation CPU architecture. Unfortunately, though, we don’t know whether Jim Keller is reffering to Willow Cove or Golden Cove. Willow Cove will succeed the Sunny Lake, whereas Golden Cove will succeed Willow Cove. New security vulnerability affects all Intel CPUs supporting SWAPGS & WRGSBASE instructions

Bitdefender researchers have identified and demonstrated a new side-channel attack. This new attack bypasses all known mitigation mechanisms implemented in response to Spectre and Meltdown. According to the report, all Intel CPUs that support SWAPGS and WRGSBASE instructions are vulnerable to this new attack. Intel plans to releases its first 7nm CPUs in 2021, 10nm CPUs coming later this year

Intel CEO Bob Swan has confirmed that the blue team plans to release its 10nm CPUs later this year, and its 7nm CPUs in 2021. This basically means that Intel will be two years late to the 7nm party, something that will give AMD enough time to refine its Zen CPUs.
