It’s really funny how things turned out for DICE and Infinity Ward/Sledgehammer. Both companies are talented and have been with us for quite some time. It wasn’t untill recently though when gamers found out the first studio, mainly due to its console version of Battlefield called, Bad Company. In fact… the same can be said about Infinity Ward too since their roots can be found on the PC with the creation of the first Call of Duty game. Activision released today the first multiplayer trailer of CoD: Modern Warfare 3. As we can see, MW3 will support new killstreaks, weapons and the kill mode is pretty much confirmed. MW3 is being developed by Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games and is slated for release on November 8th on PC, X360 and PS3. Great news for everyone as Valve has just announced that Activision’s highly anticipated CoD game, Modern Warfare 3, will be using Valve’s Steamworks. This goes for both the retail and the digital versions and basically means that MW3 will support Steam cloud saving, offline play, auto-updating, downloadable content and achievements. Activision released today two new screenshots for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Although the game is not based on CryEngine 3 or Unreal 3, those latest screenies look amazing and really up-to-date with most other top graphical games.
