New Borderlands 2 Update Releases Today

Gearbox announced that a new update for Borderlands 2 will be rolled out on all platforms today. According to the changelog – which can be viewed below – the PC version will get various fixes to some annoying issues and bugs, such as the missing decals when framerate limiter was set to 30. Moreover, the bug that prevented profiles to save when they were already corrupted on startup has been addressed. SEGA has released a new set of screenshots for Gearbox’s upcoming Aliens game. Aliens: Colonial Marines promises to bring new levels of bone-chilling suspense and adrenaline-filled action to the renowned franchise. Unfortunately, from what we’ve seen so far, this new Aliens game might not be what true fans have been waiting for, especially due to the bad AI and the underwhelming combat mechanics. Aliens: Colonial Marines – Survivor Trailer

SEGA has released a new trailer for Aliens: Colonial Marines, showcasing the MP Survivor mode that will be featured in it. In Survivor Mode, there are four marines against a lot of aliens that can be respawned. The goal of this mode is simple; survive for as long as you can. It looks interesting and has an Aliens feel to it, so be sure to check it out. Aliens: Colonial Marines is currently planned for a February 12th release on PC, X360 and PS3. Enjoy! Borderlands 2 – PC Update 1.2.0 Released

2K Games and Gearbox have released a new update for the PC version of Borderlands 2. This patch updates the game’s version to 1.2.0, and brings improvements to both PhysX and Nvidia’s 3D Vision. In addition, this update fixes a number of issues and bugs that plagued the PC version of Borderlands 2. New Aliens: Colonial Marines Screenshots

SEGA has released a new set of screenshots for Aliens: Colonial Marines. In Aliens: Colonial Marines, players are part of a United States Colonial Marine squad and must prepare to face an alien assault more intense and horrific than ever before. Developed by Gearbox, Aliens: Colonial Marines is currently planned for a February 2013 release on PC, X360 and PS3. A WiiU versions will be released at a later date. Enjoy! Borderlands 2 – PC Performance Analysis

Borderlands 2 is finally here with us, so it’s time to see how this bad boy performs on the PC. Gearbox has promised to polish the PC version and they are offering a nice number of parameters with which you can adjust the game’s visuals. Yes, there is a FOV slider and you can disable the mouse acceleration. However, the game itself seems to be suffering from various performance issues, issues that should not be present on a title that is powered by Epic’s Unreal Engine 3. 2K Games and Gearbox have released the launch trailer of Borderlands 2. Borderlands 2 is the sequel to the critically acclaimed four-player cooperative shooter-looter that combined intense first-person mayhem with role-playing game play. Borderlands 2 features all-new characters; skills; imaginative, diverse new environments with unique missions and enemies; and more exciting and fun weapons, equipment and loot than ever before. This is what Borderlands was originally meant to look like; art style inspired by short film ‘Codehunters’

Gearbox’s Borderlands is perhaps one of the best cartoon-ish games. Borderlands uses a different technique for its cartoon-ish like visuals than cel-shading, but the final result is pretty close to it in our opinion. Needless to say that we don’t think there is something wrong calling Borderlands a cel-shaded game (as that term is used metaphorically to describe all cartoon-ish games with outlines), but that’s just us. Did you know, however, that the game had – originally – a more realistic look to it? As we’ve said and before, we are big fans of live actions films and trailers. And remember that live action trailer of Borderlands 2? Well, it seems there is an extended version of it – that was aired a while back – and can be viewed below. What’s sad though is the fact that Gearbox has not released it yet.
