It seems that Epic Games is currently working on a new tech demo for Unreal Engine 4. This tech demo is said to be a Helmet Tech Demo and showcases some amazing lighting effects. To be honest, the following screenshots look more impressive than the Elemental tech demo, at least in our opinion. It’s also really strange that these images got leaked online just a few hours before the Playstation 4 meeting. Could Epic Games and Sony be on something? We’ll soon find out. For now, enjoy the screenshots after the jump! Continue reading Unreal Engine 4 – New Screenshots From A New Tech Demo→
As you may have noticed, last week we did not post any UDK gallery and the reason was simple; contrary to CryEngine 3’s modders, the artists that are experimenting with Epic’s engine are not updating constantly their projects. And since we did not have enough shots to share, we decided to keep them for this week’s gallery. Therefore, today we bring you new shots from the works of 3D artists Amatobahn, Lyaksandr, Ryswick, David-J, theonewhoknocks, KartoonHead, danpaz3d, penE, AkiRa and J0NNYquid. Enjoy! Still, you can also find below you shots and videos from Blubberblase, Kyuuu, kevino025, jamiemurphy, danielguti, sloth452 and rambooze. Enjoy! Man, seems that Epic is undergoing a lot of changes. Think about it; after Cliff Bleszinski’s retirement, it’s time for Mike Capps to step down and handle off his current presidential duties at Epic. It’s ironic, but these two people were among those who made Epic what it was back in the golden days. Guru programming – and founder – Tim Sweeney remains on board, but we are really curious to see what will happen with Epic Games and whether those retirements will be a good thing for PC gamers or not. Ah, the good old classic Unreal. Such an amazing experience, even for today’s standards. Actually, in some ways its better than today’s games, given the fact that it is not as a scripted mess as most modern-day FPS titles. On the other hand, the storytelling is awful but who really cares, right? Back then it was all about the eyecandy graphics, the incredible AI, the mesmerizing levels, the gorgeous characters and the combat mechanics. But anyway, if you want to relive those moments, you can do so with OldUnreal’s latest patch that brings various technical improvements to Epic’s classic FPS.
