Epic Games: “We currently have multiple games in development” – Incoming GDC Surprises

A lot of gamers were shocked by today’s news, as Microsoft has acquired the rights for the Gears Of War series from Epic Games. It’s no secret that Epic Games was only responsible for this particular series – as well as Infinity Blade – therefore some gamers began wondering; is Epic Games going down? And are there other games coming from the team responsible for games such as Unreal, Unreal Tournament and Gears of War? Ah, the power of UDK. Anton Migulko has shared a new video, showcasing a realtime footage from his latest project. And my God does it look beautiful. Anton has done an astounding work with his terrain and water materials, and his waterfalls look absolutely gorgeous. Unreal Engine 4 On Nvidia Tegra K1 Looks Sick As Hell

Remember a prototype video we shared a while ago from Unreal Engine 4? Well, it seems that one scene from it was used during Nvidia’s CES 2014 event. Yesterday, Nvidia and Epic Games showcased the power of the new Tegra K1 chip, which was running the dungeon scene from the prototype Matrix video. Tegra K1 is described as the first-ever console-class mobile technology, enabling PC-class gaming technologies like DirectX 11, OpenGL 4.4 and tessellation. It’s been a while since our last look on Unreal Engine 4, don’t you think? Well, today we bring a new video from a project that is powered by Epic’s new game engine. Created by YouTube’s ‘ZzGERTzZ’, this video shows off a project in its early pre-alpha stages. Nvidia has released a new video in which Epic Games’ Tim Sweeney shares his thoughts about Nvidia’s new G-Sync technology. According to Sweeney, G-Sync will free Epic Games from making the decision of locking a game at 30fps. This should be good news for all those of us who hate 30fps capped titles (Ghost Games and NFS: Rivals, I’m looking at you). You know what? Deathsquad’s podcast with Cliff Bleszinski is really, really interesting. First and foremost, that podcast revealed some of the new features of Bleszinski’s upcoming title. Secondly, in that podcast Bleszinski claimed that Xbox One and PS4 are nothing impressive (as they are more of the same) compared to Oculus Rift. And finally, Bleszinski threw his glove at Epic Games, claiming that there was constantly somebody who doubted Bleszinski’s ideas. Epic Games has released a new video for Unreal Engine 4 in which Epic’s Tim Elek and Zak Parrish go under the hood of Unreal Engine 4 to show how artists utilized a host of visual effects, including advanced GPU particle simulation and collision, materials, dynamic particle lights and other VFX to create the Infiltrator real-time demonstration.
