EA released today eighteen new screenshots for their hockey game, NHL 12. The game looks great and is scheduled for a September 9th release on consoles. EA Sports released a new high-resolution render of Stamkos. Stamkos is also featured on the game’s boxart and this render looks really great. As with most renders, it makes us wonder when we’ll be playing with this kind of graphics. The textures in particular are simply gorgeous. EA Sports released a new video in which Aaron McHardy, Fifa 12’s Lead Gameplay Producer, explains and details the benefits of the new Player Impact Engine. According to McHardy, the previous collision system was very good but kind of limited. As a result of that, when two players were running into one another in Fifa 11 the development team had to choose one contact and collision animation, even if there were a lot of contacts.
