Electronic Arts held an E3 2013 analyst call, in which it revealed some new information about the reboot of Mirror’s Edge. According to EA Labels president Frank Gibeau (and spotted by NeoGAF‘s Nirolak), this Mirror’s Edge game won’t be a shooter, will have more of Faith who won’t be constantly running from here and there, and could not happen on current or older generation platforms (excluding the PC of course). Well okay, we already knew that DICE would showcase Battlefield 4 on the PC, but we now have some evidence to back these claims. Yesterday, DICE revealed an image from the PC that would be running Battlefield 4. And today, during the MP mode that was demoed at EA’s conference we saw some of the devs playing with keyboard+mouse, indicating that EA was showing off the PC version of their title. DICE and Electronic Arts have released a new Multiplayer E3 trailer for Battlefield 4. This new trailer showcases the Commander mode that has been implemented in it. The Commander ‘class’ / role will let players take point and turn the tide of battle. Commanders will be able to command the battlefield, deploy gunship strikes and launch missile strikes. And it’s official everyone. DICE has presented a trailer for the sequel to one of the best games, ever. Mirror’s Edge 2 is real and is it coming. EA did not reveal any ETA, but DICE unveiled via its Twitter account that the game is powered by Frostbite 3 and is being developed for PC, Xbox One and PS4. After some investigation, it seems that this new Mirror’s Edge title will be simply called Mirror’s Edge and will be a reboot. Enjoy the trailer below! E3 will be starting in a couple of days, and DICE has already setup the PC systems that will be handling the MP mode of its highly anticipated title. DICE has shared the following image from one of the PC systems that will be powering it. As we can see, this PC setup will be taking advantage of two AMD cards in CrossFire mode, though we don’t know which AMD cards have been used. Mr Kees de Koning has posted a new video, showcasing a death race recreated in Battlefield 3. This video took Kees de Koning 2 months of recording, filming and editing. Thankfully the end result is really cool, so make sure to give it a go. DICE announced that it will be unveiling Battlefield 4 multiplayer at this year’s E3 with a live demo at “The Download: EA 2013 Preview” press conference taking place at 9:00 pm GMT on Monday, June 10th. Fans attending E3 will have the chance to go hands-on with multiplayer in EA’s booth located at #1601 in the South Hall. DICE will also be live streaming their entire E3 booth experience including multiplayer matches complete with commentary. Well, that was a given. DICE and EA have announced – via the game’s official FB page – that Battlefield 4 will be also coming to Xbox One (as well as PS4, but that was also a given). In addition, the companies have released a new screenshot from the next-gen version of it. Battlefield 4 is planned for release on October 29th, and will be powered by Frostbite 3.
