Deep Silver today released a trailer for the next installment in the Dead Island franchise which will be released in 2013. This is a CGI trailer, and is as good as the debut CGI trailer of its predecessor. You see, it’s all about the music, the emotional state of the characters, the desperation, the carefully selected camera angles, and the fact that a good day can so easily turn into a bloody hellish one. If only the game followed the horror element that is present in both this and the original CGI trailer of Dead Island. Now that would be a truly amazing game. But that’s not going to happen. Deep Silver has released the first screenshots and a teaser trailer for Techland’s upcoming Dead Island game, Dead Island: Riptide. According to the publisher, Dead Island: Riptide is a spin-off and not a sequel to the first Dead Island game. After escaping in a helicopter to the safety of a military ship, a furious storm hits and the virus suddenly spreads throughout the crew. Therefore, the island of Palanai is crawling with new zombie mutations and of course, our survivors wash up on it’s shores.
