StarCraft II World Championship Series Comes In UK This Weekend

Blizzard announced that on 30th June and 1st July 2012, 16 of the best StarCraft II players in the United Kingdom will compete in the World Championship Series UK Nationals in London. Part of a global campaign to find the best StarCraft II player in the world, the United Kingdom Nationals will see Britain’s best fight it out to be crowned the UK champion and earn the right to represent their country at the StarCraft II World Championship Series Europe Finals. Blizzard finally admits that the lack of LAN in StarCraft II was due to piracy

The lack of a LAN feature in StarCraft 2 is something that has annoyed a lot of the game’s fans. And even though Blizzard was previously hiding behind words and excuses, StarCraft 2’s production director Chris Sigaty admitted that the company removed that feature – mainly – due to piracy. Something that doesn’t shock us at all, as pretty much everyone thought so in the first place. It’s nice though to finally see Blizzard admitting the real reasons behind the lack of it. Diablo III – Full Patch 1.0.3 Release Notes

Blizzard has revealed the full release notes for Diablo III’s highly Update 1.0.3. Be warned that the changelist is huge, so take a deep breath before hitting the ‘continue reading’ button. The update will be made available today in America and tomorrow in Europe. As always, the servers will be taken offline before the update goes live and European players will be unable to log into the Americas or Asia using Global Play after patch 1.0.3 is live until those regions have also patched. Exciting times for StarCraft fans as Blizzard will unveil – in MLG Spring Championship – the next part of their StarCraft 2 saga. According to the company, a large number of StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm demo stations will be featured at this event and the attendees will be able to sit down and see all the StarCraft II Multiplayer changes that have been made to it. PC gaming is dead? Guess again – Diablo III sets PC game launch record

Blizzard Entertainment announced today that as of the first 24 hours of Diablo III’s release, more than 3.5 million copies had been sold, setting the new all-time record for fastest-selling PC game. Diablo III Patch – Demon Hunter’s Smoke Screen, Wizards’ Force Armor & The Boon of Protection nerfed

If you had logged in to Battle.net today, you would have noticed an update for Diablo III (especially if you have not played for a couple of days) and although there aren’t any release notes yet, we can confirm some changes/nerfs that occured via this latest update. Word has it that Blizzard wants to get a list of all hotfix changes up in the next 24 hours, but who wants to wait until then, right? Blizzard apologises for Diablo III’s launch issues, achievements bug still not fixed

Blizzard has apologised for all those launch issues that players have been experiencing lately. According to the statement, Blizzard’s preparations for the launch of the game did not go far enough as they were caught off guard by this tremendous and successful launch. The company believes it has ironed out most of the bugs now and promised to monitor the situation and enact maintenance. Diablo III – Secret Level Revealed – Whimsyshire is full of unicorns

Remember that secret cow level in Diablo II? Well, time to find out what Blizzard has included in Diablo III, as YouTube’s member ‘AlexInSixty’ has uploaded an interesting new video of a hidden, secret level. Diablo III’s secret level is called Whimsyshire and is full of… unicorns. Yeap, you read that right. Blizzard to decided to troll those who called Diablo III ‘childish’ and offered a bright and colorful, cartoon-ish level that is filled with unicorns. Diablo III – Normal Difficulty – Koreans have completed the SP mode under 4-5 hours

And we have the first people we managed to complete the SP mode of Diablo III. As you may have guessed, these people come from Korea and they have managed to complete the game – in normal difficulty – in around 4-5 hours. Of course, these people are not ordinary people like most of us. Therefore, there is nothing to really worry about the game’s length. It’s a fact, though, that it will take you approximately a day or two to complete Diablo III in normal difficulty.
