DOOM Eternal will not feature a SnapMap Editor, may support mods in the future

It appears that DOOM Eternal will not support mods in any form at launch. During a Q&A session at QuakeCon 2018, game director Marty Stratton said that the game will not launch with a SnapMap Editor and that there is no guarantee that the game will support mods. Future Bethesda games may not be exclusive to Bethesda.net and could appear on Steam

At QuakeCon 2018, Bethesda’s Pete Hines told IGN that although Fallout 76 will be exclusive to Bethesda.net, their future titles could be released on Steam too. Although Hines did not confirm whether DOOM Eternal or RAGE 2 will come out on Steam, he did say that only Fallout 76 has been announced as an exclusive to Bethesda’s launcher. DOOM Eternal’s QuakeCon 2018 demo was running on a very high-end PC, will support the Vulkan API

During a Q&A session at QuakeCon 2018, id Software’s executive producer Marty Stratton revealed that the demo was running on a very high-end PC. Unfortunately Marty did not reveal the specs of that PC, however we’ve got at least confirmation of that footage being taken from the PC version. New Fallout 76 gameplay video focuses on character customization, leveling up and more

At QuakeCon 2018, Bethesda presented a new gameplay video for Fallout 76 that focuses on its character customization system. In Fallout 76, players will wake up in a vault and they will be able to customize their characters (like in previous Fallout games, though the system has been improved in various ways). DOOM Eternal tech details: id Tech 7 can display 10 times higher geometric detail, demons will be destructible

At QuakeCon 2018, id Software revealed some additional tech details about the engine that will be powering DOOM Eternal, the id Tech 7. According to the developers, the id Tech 7 engine can display 10X higher geometry detail than id Tech 6. First PC gameplay footage released for DOOM Eternal

As promised, id Software and Bethesda has revealed at QuakeCon 2018 the first gameplay footage for DOOM Eternal. Bethesda presented three gameplay videos, showing lots of gameplay action. What’s really cool here is that in the second video id Software also showcased the PC version, played with mouse and keyboard.
