Square Enix has announced that their free-to-play MMORPG, WAKFU, will be released on February 29th to the PC. It’s been almost 8 years after the launch of DOFUS – whose evolution and development continue to thrive – and Ankama is launching a second massively multiplayer online game, set in the same universe. Whilst WAKFU retains some of the basic features seen in DOFUS, gameplay is governed by player responsibility this time around, and the familiar comic and strategic aspects of DOFUS are accompanied by exclusive political and environmental elements. Ankama Games released a new trailer for Wakfu. Wakfu is the next MMORPG from the makers of DOFUS and is free-to-play. The game has been in open beta for two months and those interested can visit its official site and register to join the beta phase testing.
