DukeBoss and a team of modders have released a new fan expansion for Duke Nukem 3D, Duke Nukem: Alien Armageddon. According to its description, Alien Armageddon is a mod for Duke Nukem 3D which adds many new high quality enemies, sexy NPCs, and a second playable character, all featured in an epic new adventure. 3D Realms’ Ion Maiden leaves Steam Early Access and fully releases in early 2019

3D Realms and Voidpoint have announced that their old-school first-person shooter, Ion Maiden, will release in early 2019 and will feature a classic fast-paced multiplayer mode. Those who purchased the game during Early Access will have access to a multiplayer beta closer to launch. A bad-ass limited edition big box is available for pre-order now. It’s no secret that I am a huge fan of Brutal Doom. And to be honest, I’d love to see all classic 2D shooters receive the Brutal treatment that id Software’s iconic shooter currently enjoys. The Playstation version of Duke Nukem: Total Meltdown finds its way to the PC thanks to this mod

Back in 1997, GT Interactive released a special version of Duke Nukem 3D in the original Playstation, called Duke Nukem: Total Meltdown. While this version suffered from major performance issues, it also came with some new levels and re-designed sprites. And modder ‘Fox_666’ has just released a total conversion mod for Duke Nukem 3D that brings all the content of the Total Meltdown PSX version to it. Earlier this month, we shared a story about the 2001 version of Duke Nukem Forever. As we reported, Frederik Schreiber, VP at 3DRealms, claimed that this unreleased version was almost 90% complete and feature a different tone and atmosphere than the game we received in 2011. The 2001 Unreal Engine version of Duke Nukem Forever was 90% complete, had RPG and horror elements

Duke Nukem Forever was a huge disappointment for a lot of Duke Nukem fans. However, there was a version that impressed everyone back in 2001. That version of Duke Nukem Forever was powered by Unreal Engine and was meant to be a more serious/dark game. And according to Frederik Schreiber, VP at 3DRealms, that version is 90% complete.
