It appears that Amazon has just leaked some new screenshots for Dead Island 2. Moreover, and according to the Amazon listing, the game will release in February 2023.
Developed by Dambuster Studios, Dead Island 2 will have six playable characters that gamers will be able to customize.
Here is the game’s description:

My guess is that Deep Silver will officially re-reveal this game at Gamescom 2022. It’s also worth noting that this game may most likely be exclusive to Epic Games Store.

I would say there wasn’t a market for it, but with Techland fumbling the ball on Dying light 2 there may some wiggle room.
