Modder ‘Aeltoth’ has released a must-have mod for all The Witcher 3 fans. The Wild Monster Hunt DLC-sized expansion mod adds a new map to the game, a camp where you can upgrade your gear, and unique gameplay mechanics. So, let’s take a closer look at it.
Wild Monster Hunt is a new game mode where you can start a fresh playthrough made just for this experience. You’ll have your own camp, which you can upgrade. It’s similar to Corvo Bianco, but focused on helping you hunt monsters. You can explore a brand-new map about the same size as Toussaint from the Blood & Wine DLC. From your camp, you can pick and complete randomly generated monster contracts to earn gear and money. As you play, you can craft better equipment and take on stronger monsters. You can also unlock special items and use a unique forge found only on this new map to create powerful builds.
Wild Monster Hunt revolves around two deeply interconnected systems. The first element is your Witcher camp, it is your safe place to take care of your gear and to prepare for the coming hunts. In there, you will occasionally find skilled people who will help you turn this humid place into your modest home. The second element is everything around the camp. As soon as you leave its walls, you enter the “Hunting mode“. Containers are filled with new loot, herbs have grown back, and new creatures are roaming the wild lands. You are then free to explore as you please or as long as your gear allows, after which you can go back to the camp in order to prepare for the next hunt.
This is a really cool new mod for TW3 that I highly recommend. You can go ahead and download it from this link.
Speaking of The Witcher 3 Next-Gen, you can also download some other cool mods for it. For example, there is a really cool first-person mod. The Characters Reworked Project is another interesting mod that improves the quality of over 100 characters. Let’s also not forget this mod that lets you kill most in-game NPCs. Then we have this mod that overhauls the game’s combat with better animations, better targeting, and new dodging mechanics.
In July 2024, we shared mods that restored the boat races and added 15 new quests. A modder has also restored the reputation system that CDPR cut from the game. Plus, there is a cool fan expansion, based on the original book “The Last Wish”.
In December 2023, we shared this mod that restores content that was cut from all previous The Witcher games. Then, in February 2024, we shared a mod that attempted to remove the fake “hero” light from the game’s cut-scenes. There is also this mod that allows you to explore a part of the world from the first The Witcher game in TW3. Oh, and don’t forget this mod that allows you to ride a Griffin. Or how about this Sekiro-inspired combat mod?
We also have some mods for those playing with Ray Tracing. The RTX Mirrors Mod adds proper reflections to the game’s mirrors. Then we have this mod that improves the fire effects via Ray Tracing Global Illumination. Plus, this mod fixes the Ray Tracing bleach issues.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

meanwhile new vegas is dead.
Highly doubt it.
what big dlc sized mods are coming out? The mexico one got canceled.
Who cares about those cringe mods? they’re all sh*t anyways.
I prefer smaller mods that add new weapons, mechanics or features.
then why did you reply to my post you moron?
Because I can and you’re objectively wrong. Modding scene for new vegas is very active, you’re just mad because I contradicted you.
10 years after its first release, I gave a try to this game this weekend.
Yeah I really waited a long time to try this one.🤣
But well, since I already hated the first two games, I wasn't motivated at all.
So far, besides the graphics, I hate everything about it.
My first thought "so that's the game people are comparing to the second coming of Jesus?"
It's just a freaking linear experience with very limited gameplay, almost an interactive movie. Not even sure it deserves the tag "interactive" though, since you can't even interact at all with 99% of characters. WTF??
You might as well watch a longplay video, it's the same.
It sure doesn't deserve to be called an RPG.
At best, it should have been advertised as action-adventure.
After playing Risen 1 earlier this year, this feels so underwhelming in comparison.
Just a pretty empty world.
Speaking of Risen, despite having the usual horrible Piranha Bytes-like tank controls, it still manages to have better fighting mechanics than the Witcher 3, which says a lot about how bad it is.
The absolutely pathetic thing is when you check Steam reviews, you see people saying "this is the best game ever. I HATE THE GAMEPLAY, but everything else is so good." lol……….
Even its hardcore fans admit the gameplay (or lack of) sucks.🤣
Gameplay is literally the #1 important thing in a game, but okay.
Modern gamers are just clueless about good games, it seems.
3/10
It's just a walking simulator in gorgeous environments.
Zero interest in the Witcher 4.
doesnt it have sidwquests that branch into different quests depending the choices? I never played it because 2 bored me to death and was super linear.
