Grand Theft Auto San Andreas Fan Remake in Unreal Engine 4 showcased & looks stunning

GTA fans, here is something for you today. ArcadiaSquad has shared a video, showing what a modern remake of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas could look like in Unreal Engine 4. This team has been working on this project for almost a year, recreating the entire map of GTA: San Andreas.

The end result is stunning, and showcases what a proper remake of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas could look like.

Now the bad news is that this map/level is not available for download. As the team noted, this project was made in order to create machinimas. In other words, this isn’t a fully functional remake of the game itself.

Still, this is one of the best Unreal Engine 4 fan remakes we’ve seen to date. And… well… since it looks so cool, we’ve decided to share it with you.

It’s worth noting that another modder is working on a fully functional GTA: SA Remake in UE4. However, this project is in a really early stage, and nowhere close to completion.

Speaking of Unreal Engine 4 remakes, you may also find interesting the STALKER Remake in Unreal Engine 4 or the The Legend of Zelda Ocarina Of Time Remake in Unreal Engine 4.25. There is also a 3D Sonic fan game using Unreal Engine 4 that you can download. Furthermore, fans are working on a Deus Ex Remake in Unreal Engine 4, and there is a demo that you can download. Let’s also not forget the Dino Crisis Unreal Engine 4 fan remake. Oh, and there is also the Goldeneye 007 Remake in Unreal Engine 4.

  1. Man I dont even know how many hours I spent on this game back in the day, a remake is definitely needed to update the gameplay as it had the best story and side content of all the GTAs.

    1. Take Two wont agree with you as they cannot milking a complete single player games like San Andreas..

  2. How the f uck does this look stunning? Looks terrible, just because they recreated the game doesn’t mean it looks stunning.

  3. Oh, it’s a tech demo. I thought they were trying to recreate the whole game.
I’m not sure I see the point, then. And GTA V has lots of similar locations which look even better, especially with mods.
But I guess they did this because it’ll still look good in their portfolio.

    1. A team of three people has recreated an entire map that looks as good as GTA 5 PC, with lots of vegetation, cars, NPCs, and effects. In my eyes, this a stunning achievement.

      1. man these ppl in the comments are lame. It actually looks awesome. Even more amazing then Crysis remastered

      2. Don’t get me wrong i respect these guys, but it doesn’t look half as good as GTA V PC John

        1. We can’t compare a job done by 3 guys with no budget, with another one, done with a budget of 265M$ and more than 1000 persons…

          1. That’s what i was talking about, it can’t look as good as GTA V PC, i’m not comparing them, just replying to John who stated that both are equal visually

      3. John get realistic.yeah good work for 3 people but the quality is not stunning.maybe 3 people are not enough to offer stunning quality for whatever reason.

      4. This looks TOO amazing in fact , the amount of work involved in this project is unbelievable.
Just hoping they release it underground so this doesn’t get C&D’ed to death , and this project won’t see daylight..

      5. GTA V still looks miles better….. its okay but its not looking realistic (too shiny, too much plastic feel).

        1. Yeah, GTA V was made with a budget of 265M$, with more than 1000 persons…LMAO…. man… what a comparison….

    1. One of the things I hated the most in video games (especially pure racing games)…… hell even some very old games have better roads than some new games.

  4. This looks damn good. The people in the comments… seriously… what a buzz kill. Just blocking all the lame aF people from now on. It’s exhausting! I would totally play this.
