GTATrilogyGames has released a brand new update for the Grand Theft Auto Vice City Actual NextGen Edition Modpack. This new update aims to fix and tweak a number of things. So, let’s take a closer look at it.

For those who don’t know, the Actual NextGen Edition Modpack is made to improve GTA Vice City NextGen Edition. It is a collection of mods created by the VCNE Modding Community and DayL’s modding community. The goal is to bring back features from the original GTA Vice City, while also adding modern features inspired by GTA San Andreas, GTA IV, and GTA V.

Update 25 makes the Grand Theft Auto Vice City Actual NextGen Edition Modpack more stable. It fixes a rare memory leak in missions that start at the mansion. It also fixes a rare crash when vehicle density is set to 100. Another fix removes a memory leak and crash related to the audio system. On top of that, the extra loading text is gone, so the game now loads instantly, similar to GTA IV and the original VCNE 1.3.

Update 25 makes several improvements to the game. Vehicle handling has been adjusted to feel balanced between GTA V and GTA IV. A bug was fixed where the player would respawn at a safehouse instead of a hospital after dying. The update also cleans up extra game files to reduce memory use. Tommy will now walk to the boat when he reaches the Colonel’s yacht. There is also a new optional setting that lets you change Tommy’s Street and Soiree outfits to match the Cutscene Retexture Project outfits.

It’s also worth noting that GTA: Vice City NextGen Edition is compatible with the RTX Remix Path Tracing Mod. In my opinion, this is the best way to re-experience Vice City. As with most RTX Remix Mods, it requires a high-end GPU. Still, this is a unique experience that most Vice City fans will appreciate.

Then, there’s a cool mod that adds cars from 1950-1993 and a mod that brings New York City to the game. For a smoother experience, PC gamers can also use DXVK. You can also get these mods that add an 8K Map, and improve the Euphoria ragdolls. Let’s also not forget this mod that adds to the game a fully functional vehicle fuel system. Last but not least, there’s a mod that gives the main characters a total makeover.
