IO Interactive has released Title Update 1.0.4 for its latest James Bond game, 007 First Light, and shared its full patch notes. So, let’s see what this new patch brings to the table.
Patch 1.0.4 resolves the issue of game updates for Microsoft PC being significantly larger in size in comparison to other platforms. Moreover, it brings a range of memory optimizations. According to the devs, this will improve the game’s overall performance. It will also significantly reduce the risk of out-of-memory crashes.
Update 1.0.4 fixes a crash that could occur when launching the game due to profile data loading issues. It also fixes a crash that could occur when loading or starting the game with corrupted save data. Plus, it fixes a crash that could occur when purchasing multiple gadget upgrades in Tactical Simulation.
Patch 1.0.4 also includes several gameplay fixes. One fix prevents players from accessing the elevator shaft too early during a visit to QLab at MI6. Another fixes a bug that allowed players to carry more than one primary weapon. This issue could cause save corruption and even lead to infinite loading screens when reloading checkpoints. The update also fixes a problem where Q could become stuck in the environment if a cinematic was skipped at MI6. When this happened, players could not continue progressing through the game. Finally, the patch fixes an issue in the mission “The Past Never Dies.” In some cases, getting shot could cause Bond to remain stuck in a movement animation.
There are also some technical improvements here. For example, this patch fixes an issue where some PCs could default to a low-power graphics card, resulting in poor performance. It also improves memory handling for character physics systems to prevent excessive memory usage over time. Additionally, it an issue where the game could launch with incorrect upscaling settings, impacting visual performance.
Like always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. Below, you can also find its full patch notes.
