Planetside 2 – Coming on November 20th

Sony Online Entertainment announced last night at its annual SOE Live fan event that the highly anticipated massively multiplayer online first-person shooter (MMOFPS) PlanetSide 2 will launch in North America and Europe on November 20, 2012. A free-to-play title with optional content available for purchase in the marketplace, PlanetSide 2 offers an unprecedented gaming experience where players battle in massive environments alongside and against thousands of players engaging in intense air and ground combat that spans the planet of Auraxis. Players will soon be able to pledge their allegiance and enlist in one of three unique Empires – Terran Republic, New Conglomerate and Vanu Sovereignty – in the fight for global domination. Star Citizen – Kickstarter Campaign Launched

Last week’s high profile announcement of Chris Roberts’ return to gaming and his highly anticipated PC space sim game, Star Citizen, caused such a rush of support, the servers that hosted the game’s independently maintained crowd funding program simply collapsed leaving thousands of would-be pledgers and supporters on the outside looking in for days. Namco has announced that they’ll be showcasing – in full 3D – Star Trek at this weekend’s London event Destination Star Trek London, in a specially build screening room (using Nvidia technology). The publisher will show a gameplay presentation, demonstrating the most varied co-op experience for this console generation from both Spock and Kirk’s unique in game perspective’s. Torchlight II Patch 1.14.5.5 Released – Comes With ‘Large’ Performance Optimization

Runic Games has released a new patch for its action hack n slash RPG, Torchlight II. According to its changelog, this patch will update your game’s version to 1.14.5.5 and comes with large performance optimization to buff/debuff bar displays, fixes for the ghosting issue that was present on Intel’s HD graphics cards, and various tweaks on Skills, Levels and Items. SumomGames has released a new trailer for its upcoming PC shmup, Humans Must Answer. Although this little gem needs a lot of work and polish in order to reach the level of other triple-a shumps, its arsenal looks quite unique and remarkable.
