Treyarch has released a new update for the PC version of Black Ops 2 that improves performance – in every campaign – on PC systems with two or four CPU cores, increases FOV to 90 and improves dedicated server matchmaking. This update will be auto-downloaded and you can view its complete changelog below. Unfortunately we’ve uninstalled Treyarch’s title so we can’t see whether those performance improvements are noticeable. Enjoy! Far Cry 3’s embargo has been lifted and as we don’t have any performance analysis to share (for now), we bring you today a 16 minutes footage from the PC version, with Ultra settings, courtesy of WhySoSirius. The commentary is in German, but who really cares, right? As we can see, Far Cry 3 looks great and there is no noticeable pop-up when using Ultra settings. Question now is how the game performs (as there is no framerate indication and we don’t know the specs that were used) and whether this title takes advantage of multiple CPU cores. Enjoy! SEGA has released a new trailer for Aliens: Colonial Marines, showcasing the MP Survivor mode that will be featured in it. In Survivor Mode, there are four marines against a lot of aliens that can be respawned. The goal of this mode is simple; survive for as long as you can. It looks interesting and has an Aliens feel to it, so be sure to check it out. Aliens: Colonial Marines is currently planned for a February 12th release on PC, X360 and PS3. Enjoy! Bad news for PC racing fans who have been anxiously waiting for the PC version of Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends, as the game’s publisher BigBen has confirmed the cancellation of this specific version. Not only that, but after countless delays, the encyclopedia section of GamePressure.com states that the PC version of this game has been cancelled, even though Atari was planning to release the game on November 30th.
