A lot of Prey 2 fans hoped to see – or at least hear something about it – in this year’s QuakeCon. Well, bad news everyone as Prey 2 was not present. Still, some screenshots were leaked a couple of hours ago from what seems to be an early build of the game. Bethesda has not confirmed anything yet, so take them with a grain of salt. Sony Online Entertainment has released the first screenshots of its upcoming MMORPG, EverQuest Next. Although the company did not reveal more details about it, it has shared a number of videos that can be viewed below. EverQuest Next was shown behind closed doors during this year’s E3, and some publications claimed that it was something really special. Bethesda announced today – via its Vice President, Pete Hines – that Wolfenstein: The New Order will be delayed to 2014. According to Hines, Bethesda felt that the game deserved ‘some additional time for polish’ and that’s the reason behind this delay. Wolfenstein: The New Order was originally planned for a Q4 2013 release on PC, X360 and PS3. A release for next-gen platforms (Xbox One and PS4) was also planned for 2014. Ubisoft has released some new, WIP, screenshots from the present day environments that will be featured in Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag and in all truthfulness, we got a Deus Ex feeling from those images. It will be interesting to see what Ubisoft is planning to do with the ‘present day’ mode of the series, and we’re looking forward to see who [SPOILEEEEEEEEERS] will replace D. Focus Home Interactive and Eugen Sysytems announced today that Wargame AirLand Battle, the successor to Wargame European Escalation, has produced its first DLC. What’s great here is that the Vox Populi DLC is totally free, meaning that Wargame AirLand Battle players will find their game has been automatically updated with the download next time they launch the game. Crusnik Crysis has informed us about a new CryEngine 3 project called ‘Survived’. Survived is a survival game that was created via the free CryEngine 3 SDK and can be downloaded from here (do note that CryDev is currently down). Survived looks pretty sweet, though it’s not excellent and has its share of bugs. Still, this is the work of an individual modder and it features what most gamers would expect from a survival game. Moreover, ‘Survived’ features an amazing atmosphere and its whole structure reminded us of Amnesia. This project builds tension through its atmospheric environments and does not rely on simply throwing zombies at you.
