Gamescom 2014 is around the corner and CD Projekt RED is currently sending invitations to a select number gaming websites for its upcoming The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt event. According to the invitation, CD Projekt RED will be showing 45 minutes of brand new gameplay footage from The Witcher 3 behind closed doors.
We do know that CDPR will show to the public a new gameplay video from The Witcher 3, therefore it remains to be seen whether this ‘behind closed doors’ gameplay footage will be identical to it or not.
For those interested, CDPR will be also showing new footage of The Witcher 3 at this year’s Comic-Con.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is currently planned for a February 2015 release on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

F*** this behind closed door sh*t . Don’t tell me that 30 min demo at Comic Con will also be behind closed door .
I’m really tired of this kind of crap. With Doom happened the same thing…
If they can make a live stream or something it will please A LOT of people for sure.
Obviously they will do the same thing they did at E3; have a behind closed doors gameplay preview + a gameplay trailer/video for the public
2 minute trailer and few scattered low quality gameplay vids here and there is not the way to go . If it was Bathesda , they would’ve already shown over an hour of gameplay to the public .
Bethesda didn’t show any gameplay to the public for Doom. No footage will be shown until some time in 2015.
I was talking about TES series . They had released over an hour of gameplay video for SKYRIM soon after their event and it has been over an year since press saw Witcher 3 demo and we still have no gameplay video for the public . Only small videos , 1 of which is running on xbox one 900p .
It was a little bit different back then. Now with the new consoles and people’s expectations of 1080p@60 or no buy, developers and publishers are far more hesitant in revealing footage of not fully optimized games. Any kind of video released to the public is immediately being analyzed and dissected by the so called “experts” to determine resolutions and framerates and any kind of fluctuations are being criticised and negatively influence consumers.
Good point .
Bethesda didn’t show any gameplay to the public for Doom. No footage will be shown until some time in 2015.
The invitation is for Gamescom, so that 30-minute video that is planned for Comic-Con will be shown to the public (most probably). Yeap, our excitement about this game is to be blamed for this silly mistake. Apologies.
Yea, CD Projekt Red is especially bad for this. Behind door press has seen 4x the amount the footage we have. Behind door showings don’t sell games, SHOWING your game sells games.
Comic Con demo will be released after the show is over. Confirmed again by CD Projekt Red staff on their forums about an hour ago.
They will upload the gameplay video “shortly” after the event.
The event ends on the 27th. I don’t think we won’t get anything for 4 days.
They Won´t. We have been at Behind Close Doors presentation last year at GamesCom and there is no evidence from that presentation at all. So They will show us another demo not alowed to see day light. I´m signed.
Maybe I wasn’t specific enough. I was talking about the ComicCon presentation, not GamesCom.
“Hungry for fresh Witcher 3: Wild Hunt gameplay? Planning to visit Comic-Con San Diego? Thursday 24th is shaping up to be a lucky day for you as we will be presenting, for the first time in public, 30 hot minutes of live Witcher 3: Wild Hunt unpublished gameplay! The space is limited to 1000 people only! Additionally, the panel will host a special QA session with the Witcher team and Doug Cockle, the voice of Geralt of Rivia. Stay tuned for more info.”
“Got questions for the developers of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt? Leave your questions in the comments to this post on our facebook page and we will answer some of them during The Witcher Trivia Madness this Thursday at San Diego Comic-Con! The Q&A will also feature Doug Cockle, the voice of Geralt of Rivia! We plan to record the footage from the panel and post it online after the expo ends.”
Behind closed doors will be PC footage. Gameplay trailer will be console footage.
How do you know .? Have they confirmed it .?
No but they might not be showing the PC version to the public as not to upset the console crowd. They might have some PC gameplay at Gamescom though August 13-17.
Pretty sure they’ll be showing best version . They showed PC footage everywhere at E3 except M$ conference .
This is probably the gameplay that was shown to the press at e3, and follows the part in the swamp with little johnny
ahh come on. they showed 45min behind closed doors at E3, now they must show it to public not closed doors again. i want that 45min 🙁
ps: i don’t give a F about bethesda and it’s doom, i want to see witcher
It’s still bullshit they show the game behind close doors, I’m mean to what end?
The original article was wrong. It’s a public gameplay demo at Comic Con, and a closed-door demo at Gamescom. The Comic Con demo will be released online afterwards.
are you sure ? i hope so – why they want to show it behind closed doors at GamesCom ? new feature or something ?
Sure as anyone can be.

yeah, thanks dude
people are the ones who want to purchase this game not the press, but they keep showing it to the press
My hype for this game has just reached level 9000!!!! 2015 is looking amazing so far.
We are buying force show video to us not to some fat journalists.
That invitation says Gamescom, not Comic-Con. You sure you got your facts right?
You sir are bloody right. What a F’ up. We cropped the image to protect CDPR (as it featured some additional details meant only for the publications that were invited) and missed the most crucial thing. Man what a mess. Fixed.
I really hate this “Behind Closed Doors” BS.
