The Witcher 3 Redux is now available for download, brings numerous gameplay improvements

Aleks Vuckovic has released an interesting new mod for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. As its description reads, The Witcher 3 Redux is an overhaul mod that makes enough major changes to be considered more than just gameplay enhancements. Its main purpose is to make the gameplay feel more realistic and lore friendly where preparation is key to success.

The Witcher 3 Redux also attempts to stretch out the leveling elements across both expansions. Moreover, it overhauls the skill system. As such, players will not be wasting skill points after level 30.

Below you can find some of the main changes that this mod brings to the table:

Combat: Adrenaline is a much more important factor in this tree and can now lead to some very powerful abilities. To balance, it is significantly harder to generate and much easier to lose. A character who invests no points in this tree will find it difficult to generate 3 Adrenaline Points.

Signs: The scaling of sign damage and effects with sign intensity has been modified and some skills have been re-worked/overhauled in light of this. Without investing points into this tree, you will likely find signs to be less useful than in vanilla. Conversely, investing points into this tree will give you very powerful signs.

Alchemy: Toxicity has been re-worked significantly to be more in line with the Witcher 2. You can no longer get really high levels of toxicity and just chug potions. You have to tactically and carefully decide which potion to take and when. Considering this, potions on the whole are a lot more powerful and useful. Decoctions are less situational and have more impact.

It’s also worth noting that there are a number of changes to monsters and human enemies, including changes to stats and abilities. Moreover, a new “progressive” sign damage scaling system is present. The Witcher 3 Redux also adds a new “fatigue” system and a new “damage over time” resistance system.

Not only that, but followers can now inflict more damage. Furthermore, players can no longer use consumables (food/drink) during combat. Oh, and Geralt can also parry arrows from the start.

Last but not least, this mod is exclusively for normal “New Game”. As such, it will not work with New Game Plus.

Overall, this is a mod that a lot of players will appreciate. Thus, you can download it from here.

Have fun!

          1. If you didn’t like The Witcher 3, you’re gonna hate RDR2, trust me. It’s worse and more boring in every way possible.

        1. I would love to believe that people actually buy the game after “trying it” lol. But unfortunately we live in the real world. That rarely ever happens.

          1. If the game is rly good Yeah…
            Look at witcher 3…
More ppl play that on steam than they play RDR2…

          2. A game like The Witcher 3 only comes out once in a few years. (on PC at least)
Not every developer has the resources to make that kind of game. Some games are simply good enough and they deserve to be bought if you played them.

          3. bizzysgs…your level of brainwashing is on par with Fernando.
But somehow you are even more annoying. Let people do whatever they want…this is not a church.

          4. If you’re talking about ILLEGALLY stealing games, no. I will not “let people do what they want”.

          5. Good enough is not enough to pay what? $20? $60? what is good enough for those prices?, people have standards you know?

          6. And then you wonder why there are no good games out there. The ones who put theyr heart and soul in the game you dont buy……

I also pirate. But i got the wicher 3. Cuz i want them to make more good games….
            But hey… Its your choise…

          7. games range for me from shet to waste of time so don’t tell me that me alone pirating video games (that i already don’t care about) adds or subtracts anything from good games being made.
also if i wanted to buy any witcher game, i’d definitely buy witcher 1 and 2 and pirate the fck out of 3 because that game sucked a*s.

          8. the combat is trash. it plays, looks and sounds weak, weightless and unappealing.
they lied about downgrading too. it’s a disgrace to witcher 2 and 1.

          9. if you dont like the combat you can mod it how ever you like ….
yes they lied yet its one of the most atmosferic games out there , its soo good you just stand in the middle of the field and look at the sunset ….
there are also mods to fix it ….
witcher one and two are PC only so they are mutch better looking . so thx to consoles the wicher 3 had to be downgraded .

          10. witcher 1 and 2 were designed to be played with mouse and keyboard, witcher 3 is dumbed down for console f4gs.

          11. witcher 1 and 2 were gritty and mature and had a rusty feel to them, in witcher 3 everything is colorful, npcs have perfect glossy skin texture and gey outfits, fck witcher 3.

          12. nothing can mod the unsatisfying and weightless combat out of this game. even the sound that your sword swings make sound weak.
in witcher 2 when you kill someone it feels like you’re cutting down a person, in witcher 3 it feels like you’re cutting through paper or fruit.

          13. the real question is how did you manage to buy 4000 crappy games?! LOL.why even game at all for that matter?

          14. just because cdpr is an independent studio, it doesn’t mean their games are indie. more people worked on witcher 3 than an average triple a video game. also witcher 3 was published by warner brothers.
calling witcher 3 an indie game is like calling your mother virgin mary
after she broke the record for sleeping with the most amount of men in one minute.

          15. there are indies with far more content and quality then any of the triple A quick cash or milking cash grabbers

          16. i pirated your mother and then shared her with my ship crew, what do you have to say about that?

          17. not bad , but if you find her in the island of ghost good luck arrgh!she might eat your soul!

now seriously , pirated games are great! no internet required to play, no more info bring controlled by unknow sources,no more day one game buy and get a broken product,no more spyfraud store !

          18. oh and one more thing, i have a steam account with more than 4000 games which i haven’t logged in, in 2 years.

          19. i’ve posted my steam accounts numerous time, i gave away around $400 worth of steam gift card on multiple forums. just because you’re a new f4g, it doesn’t mean i haven’t shagged your mother.

          20. hahahhahahha i don’t believe you,you must be a kid , (things you say are just the same as kids says like *i have a ferrari i have gaven money away *such stuff)

            sigh..pathetic

          21. you know what else rarely ever happens? Demos, game being functional on release and not requiring months of patching.

      1. no money left? it was never there to begin with.
will you send me an rdr2 steam code if i give you my email rich master?

      2. so getting on a fraud store is better???? wow dude did you know the rockstars launcher is so f*ked up, if you buy the game and activate it on the fraud launcher for some players they experience on next launch no game? yeap nothing .

    1. Makes the weakest part of the game…the combat, even more annoying by making it challenging/sensical…basically what should be if you like the combat.

  1. I’ve never played The Witcher 3.
Friends say I should watch the show then play the game, but should I play with this mod?

    1. watch the show?? dude play the game first, because the fidelity to original content the books are very close, the show its strange and idiotic
