We all know that Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming to the PC. As we’ve said and before, it’s only a matter of when and not a matter of if. And while we’ve seen numerous hints at Red Dead Redemption 2 PC, the latest one comes from Rockstar’s official Social Club.
As we can clearly see below, Social Club has a mention for Read Dead Redemption 2 regarding its Accomplishments (these are most likely the game’s achievements as they are next to the PS4 trophies). Now as we all know, RDR2 is not available yet on the PC so this is either a mistake or a hint towards a PC release.

We’ve searched the source code and we can confirm JakoMako51’s findings. As of right now, the Social Club still mentions the game’s accomplishments for the PC.
Now I’m pretty sure that a lot of you will be wondering when Red Dead Redemption 2 will come out on the PC. Yes, we’ve seen all those hints but will the game ever be released on the PC? My guess is that it will come out alongside possible re-releases/remasters on the next-generation consoles.
2K Games and Rockstar did the exact same thing with Grand Theft Auto 5 so this sounds very likely. Not only that, but GTA5 sold extremely well on the PC so we are certain that Rockstar and 2K Games are looking into bringing this game to our platform. After all, Take-Two’s CEO claimed a while back that it will be easy to bring RDR2 on the PC, and that there will be no downside to releasing the game on our platform.

Not sure I agree with the latter part of that comment but I certainly agree that peasantry isn’t limited to console gamers.
Sure, that vast majority of peasants are console gamers but we also see them on PC too, e.g. those who buy games on Epic Games Store and UWP games on Windows 10 Store, those who routinely pre-order games and buy season passes upfront.
We saw a rise in PC peasantry after 2012-2013. When Xbox announced their plans for domination via always online/no physical media/can’t play used games. That spooked alot of Fanfuqs. This sent a whole lot of Xbox expats our way. Now you barely have any “True PC Gamers” left. It’s just all Xbox kids that grew up and can now afford a PC. You can tell by looking at most steam forums. They don’t know what the hell they are talking about. They ask alot of ‘Returded’ questions.
a quick visit to pcgaymer website tells you everything you need to know about the state of “pcgaming”. their staff are some of the most hardcore console gamers ever, the dude has never touched anything other than controller and repetitive ubisoft games in his life and he works for pcgaymer. their website is a disaster in every possible way.

Yeah, it seems now the RDR2 hype has calmed down that quite a few gamers are saying they preferred RDR. I still have RDR on my PS3 (one of the very few reasons I still have the console) but look forward to further optimisations to Xenia and RPCS3.

I played it on ps4 for 2-3 hours and i noticed two things, terrible frame rate and dull open world.

Agree but it’s not up to epic. Rockstar launch their own games on PC now. But you do have a point. If Rockstar wanted to be slimy and that 2 million dollar exclusive deal pay out on top. But that still doesn’t benefit Rockstar as much cause on social club is their launcher and 100% their profits. But you do have a point thought. It would just be dumb, senseless & backwards greed of Rockstar to do that.

Yes we knew this but lets not forget R*’s milking with the next gen console “better than last gen edition” that’s incoming, part of the triple dip, just like they did with GTA V. Wondering if that will come first before the PC version even gets officially announced, again just like GTA V, because they know full well once PC gamers get it on PC, they wont buy if their PCs are (or will be) upgraded better than next gen consoles.
