The Farm 51’s sci-fi thriller, GET EVEN, will be released on May 26th, has been severely downgraded

Bandai Namco has just announced that The Farm 51’s new title, GET EVEN, will be released on May 26th. GET EVEN will take advantage of photogrammetry and will use the Granite SDK. As such, Get Even will be one of the first games to almost exclusively use 3D scans of real-world objects and places in its game world.

According to The Farm 51, GET EVEN is described as the psychological thriller movie genre made video game; blurring lines and blending the frantic tension of the FPS genre with the oppressive intimacy of a complex personal investigation.

Moreover, it is said that GET EVEN will support VR devices. The Farm 51 has integrated VR devices into the 3D worlds of GET EVEN that drop the player into an immersive landscape.

Now I have to be honest here; GET EVEN has been MASSIVELY downgraded from its early concept teaser. Back in 2014, The Farm 51 presented an early concept teaser trailer of GET EVEN that looked stunning and caught us off guard. However, the latest trailer – that can be viewed below – looks nowhere close to what The Farm 51 aimed to achieve. For comparison purposes, we’ve included that early concept teaser below.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
