Square Enix has announced another delay for its upcoming action RPG, Forspoken. The publisher now aims to release this game on January 24th, 2023.
Square Enix claims that all game elements are complete, and that the game is in its final polishing development phase.
Square Enix was originally planning to release the game in May 2022. Then, in March 2022, Square Enix announced that the game was delayed until October 2022.
In Forspoken, you will play as Frey Holland; an ordinary young woman who must harness her magical abilities to survive in the fantastical yet dangerous land of Athia.
Forspoken uses the Luminous Engine and will be coming only on current-gen systems. Furthermore, the game will take advantage of DirectStorage on PC. Square Enix promises to reveal more tech details about it in the near future.

Cancel this game and instead make a proper new FF game using that Luminous engine.
remember the luminous engine was shown with a cute japanesse girl and they changed it to this.

I like to relate and identify with the characters I play, otherwise the immersion is ruined and I have zero interest in the game, which is why I never play female characters in games that allow you to customize that, and I’ve never understood why some weirdo men like to play females in MMOs.
That being said, I am willing to get over the fact that the main character is female in single player games (Lara Croft, Aloy, etc.) and still play them.
What I really can’t get over is when they make the f*king main characters black these days, I’m from a majority white country and in 30+ years I’ve seen maybe 3 black people around here, and I like it that way.
The main character being black is a 100% surefire way to ensure I will never play a game, because I can never relate to or identify as the main character and I generally can’t stand the way black people look and act because they are entirely alien to me and I find them crass, badly raised, loud, obnoxious, prone to being unnecessarily dangerous, violent and have an affinity for committing crimes, just like the gipsy scum in my country.
Hard pass from me, just like I’ve done with Deathloop, which I haven’t touched to this day.
I will never f*king understand why they make black or black female main characters in games when that demographic is WAY under 5% of the people playing the game AT MOST because women generally only play trash like MMOs and overwhelmingly play stupid mobile game bullsh*t instead of console and PC games.

Vaporware. They know they messed up and are just delaying it, trying to scramble for a way to salvage TRASH. But as always with these woke projects the people in charge are the problem, so there’s no way the people who actually do the work (develop the game) could fix it. Woke managers, writers and other non-devs will prevent this game from being saved.
