Serious Sam 4 new screenshots-4

Serious Sam 4 has been delayed, now releasing on September 24th

Devolver and Croteam were planning to release Serious Sam 4 in August 2020. However, Devolver has just announced that the game has been delayed until September 24th. Unfortunately, the teams have not revealed the reason behind this delay. They did however release a new short trailer that you can find below.

Serious Sam 4 promises to reignite the classic FPS series in a high-powered prequel. The game will have an explosive arsenal, intergalactic carnage, and perfectly timed one-liners. Naturally, the game will have an unimaginable number of enemies that requires players to circle-strafe and backpedal-blast their way out of impossible situations.

Players will fight their way through unbelievable numbers of Mental’s minions. These include the iconic Headless Kamikaze, Beheaded Rocketeer, Kleer, Scrapjack, Werebull, and Khnum. Players will also square off against brand new enemies and towering monsters like the frantic Processed, repulsive Belcher, the hard-hitting Zealot, and more.

Serious Sam 4 will also support both solo and 4-player online co-op modes. Furthermore, it will pack a new Legion System.

Enjoy!

  1. Damn ! I hate these delays, and the waiting period. They should at least give the reason behind this delay, but I hope the game turns out to be fun to play !

Can’t wait to try this out though, lol. Please don’t disappoint, @Devolver and Croteam.

  2. They delayed it because the last trailer was really sh**ty and got a bad response. They should be polishing up the graphics a bit.

    1. Yeah it’s a short game. Has vibes of Quake and serious sam all over it which isn’t a bad thing actually. I have my eyes on Prodeus. Check it out.

        1. The movement in the demo was very DOOM (1993) and Quake-like. Fast and floaty. Bummer about too few weapons and enemy types. It’s an indie FPS really.

      1. I sure hope Prodeus has an off toggle for the godawful pixelization. The game is developed on Unity engine. I was glad to leave those huge pixels behind in the 90s.

And now there’s a whole subgenre, this so called “pixel art”.

        1. Their early access didn’t have a the pixel art style on/off toggle button. I hope the final version does. Maybe you should mention it at the devs forums.

    2. They released a demo. I am an old quake guy and was hoping this might scratch that itch. It is not a bad game, but seems like a very poor new Doom clone. It meets all the minimum requirements for a modern FPS, runs good, looks good but not really my style, and the gameplay is just too boring for me and the level design is still repetitive I don’t care how much flair you through against the wall of rectangle room after rectangle room.

      1. Yeah, I think you are correct. I played the game, got bored after the first 2 levels. The level designing seems to be very poor though. Too much gore as well. Its not a bad game, but its not very good either.

        Very short campaign.
