Playstation 4 emulator, fpPS4, can now run 144 games on PC

The team behind one of the best Playstation 4 emulators, fpPS4, has updated its compatibility list, revealing that the emulator can now run 144 PS4 games.

Of those 144 games, 108 are actually playable. Still, the fact that the emulator can launch 144 PS4 games is pretty impressive.

fpPS4 is not THE best PS4 emulator right now on PC. In my opinion, that title goes to Spine. Also, from what I know, the PS4 emulator from the creators of RPCS3 is still behind both fpPS4 and Spine.

It’s also worth noting that there are two other Playstation 4 emulators in development. These are Kyty and GPCS4.

For those wondering, fpPS4 can launch the Alpha Test version of Bloodborne at around… wait for it… 1fps. And that’s on its menu. So no, even now, Bloodborne is nowhere to be playable on it.

Other triple-A games that cannot launch/run with fpPS4 are Ghost of Tsushima, Gran Turismo, God of War: Ragnarok and Shadow of the Colossus. So, basically, all of your favorite PS4 games are still unplayable. Well, that is if you have one.

Anyway, it’s pretty impressive witnessing the progress of these emulators. Realistically speaking, I don’t expect to see the aforementioned PS4 games run on them until 2026/2027. And that’s me being generous here.

You can find the compatibility list for fpPS4 in this link. At the search bar, type “in-game” or “playable”.

  1. I think sony will end up releasing their PS4 exclusives on PC before the emulator runs properly on mid range PCs of it’s era. How many PS4 exclusives that PC gamers want are there

Infamous second son + first light
    Bloodborne
    Shadow of the colossus remake
    The last guardian
    Gravity rush 2
    Uncharted collection
    Last of us 2
    Ghosts of Tsushima
    GT7
    God of war ragnarok

Not that many. And we all know Bloodborne is the one most people want.

    1. Also, two/possibly three of the games you list there are coming to PC already (GT if you believe the Steam leak). I’d maybe add WipEout Omega Collection to the list too.

    2. TLOU2 is pure LGBT propaganda
God of War 2018 is puke
God of War Ragnarok has been pozzed by Sweetbaby inc
Last good God of War game was the 3rd

  2. Smart people.
Waited for the console to hit the end of it’s main lifecycle, the successor console to hit the market, and then release their emulator (respectively firing up their work on the emulator).
    Avoiding legal battles and takedowns.

That’s actually how people will keep owning their stuff.
If the global ruling elite pushes their NWO-1984-communism-stakeholder capitalism, including “You vill own nothing” aka “fugg your ownership and rights”, than this is the only way to go (cracks the other alternative).

  3. For those who are too young or those too ignorant:
    1) It was never about battling piracy. That was all nonsense and lies for two decades, which also has been refuted plenty
    heise(.)de/news/Auswirkungen-von-Raubkopien-EU-Kommission-unterdrueckt-Piraterie-Studie-3837330(.)html
(remove the brackets since the owner here is a dumbo with his exxagerated censorship and anti-spam system).
1.1) This has been plainly obvious for two decades, because majority of pirates never had the intention to buy the game in the first place (for many reasons as “just trying it out”)
    1.2) lack of money

    2) The main purpose is to fully abolish private ownership aka the second hand market, as execs/CEO from the industry have told quite a few times
    gamesindustry(.)biz/the-real-cost-of-used-games

And this makes the most sence, since people selling their used games, will use the received money to buy new games.
So 1 bought copy of a game on a disc, will be sold to e.g. 5 different other people.
That would be 5 potential buyers (who had the money and intention), who instead of buying 5 new copies, only bought 1 shared copy of a game; thus 5 loses for the publishers/developers.

    3) And obviously: Centralized & controlled online digital storefronts as e.g. Steam, Sony/Microsofts/Apples etc. store are super easy to control.
They can even abolish price competition, ban the use of third-party keys, force overpriced 30 % fees, payment options and things like that as has been seen now for two decades.
    4) On top of it full spying & surveillance through that storefront, the bans of game modifications (see Crapcom) etc.
Censorship. Say something against ongoing agendas or world views and *pew pew*, the account is gone.

    1. 5) And most obviously (the last one): This is also the “You vill own nothing” agenda, by the global ruling elite (the WEF is just one of many organizations), aka their mixture of the New World Order, 1984, communism and stakeholder capitalism.
Abolishment of all privaty property. Communism.

  7. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I feel like it’s a much better option to just buy a cheap used ps4 instead of emulating on a 5000$ pc. I love pc but lets get real here.
The only advantage for pc emulators I can think of is that in 20 years these games would be available to emulate on pc while a ps4 might be non-functional or its games are rare to be found.
