No Code and Devolver Digital have announced Observation; a new and captivating sci-fi thriller that will be coming to the PC in Spring 2019. In order to celebrate this announcement, the publisher has released the first screenshots from this title that you can find below.
Observation takes players on a suspenseful journey to the outer reaches of space to uncover what exactly happened to astronaut Dr. Emma Fisher and the crew of the space station Observation. The captivating narrative unfolds through the lens of the station’s artificial intelligence S.A.M. Players assume the role of S.A.M. by operating the station’s control systems, cameras, and tools to assist Emma in discovering what is happening to the station and the vanished crew.
Developed by veterans from studios Rockstar North, Rocksteady, Creative Assembly, CCP and IO Interactive, Observation has been crafted with precision to bring fans a groundbreaking narrative with stunning visual fidelity.
Devolver Digital CFO Fork Parker said:
“Let’s get real, we’re five to ten years away from the machines taking over. Observation is just going to give a taste of what it will be like to converge their minds with that of a CPU before it all happens suddenly for real.”
Enjoy!

So many of those realistic space games with narratives these days
I just hope it will not be a walking sim -.-
oh it will be don’t worry.
I love walking
Walking is healthy…good choice!
I walked once. I ended up not stopping until I got to the other end of the country and had inspired thousands to follow me in my journey. I grew a beard, got all kinds of sponsorships and later I found out I had a son from a fling with a female friend from years ago. All because I just decided to go for a walk one day.
Looks cool.
Games with stories and exploration suck. What we need are more games with endless fetch quests, leveling for the sake of leveling and loot hunts that help us level more for the sake of leveling. That’s progress.
Both genres we mentioned are at the opposite spectrums of sh*t.
What’s the point of exploration if everything is static and boring, same problem with Open World sh*t.
even the title is begging me not to buy this “game”
Walking simulators are the most innovative and revolutionary type of game . Before walking simulators came along, no one had ever made a 3D map and let you control the camera to look at things.
If this game fails, don’t forget you still have Aliens: Isolation 😀
I hope it succeeds but it seems odd that a lot of these styled sci fi games fail or don’t reach a completed state. Odd.
