Sony has updated the official PSN page of Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis with some new, never-before-seen screenshots. Moreover, an Amazon pre-order has gone live, revealing a new release date for the game.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis was targeting a 2026 release date. However, it appears that the game has been delayed until February 2027. To be more precise, the game will now come out on February 12th, 2027. This is according to the Amazon pre-order page.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is a remake/re-imagination of the first Tomb Raider game. It will be using Unreal Engine 5, and these new leaked screenshots can give you an idea of what you can expect from it.
As Lara Croft, you will harness your wits and athleticism to explore exotic locations lost to time. Players will visit from the jungles of Peru to the ancient ruins of Greece, the deserts of Egypt, and a mysterious Mediterranean island shrouded in myth.
You will traverse treacherous landscapes, solve deadly contraptions, and face lethal predators as you hunt for the scattered pieces of the Scion, an artifact of immeasurable power.
In my opinion, the game looks amazing. Compared to the previous screenshots, the new ones look much better. So, I can safely say that it will be a gorgeous-looking game. Let’s at least hope that it won’t suffer from any stuttering issues. After all, it’s using Unreal Engine 5.
My guess is that Amazon Game Studios will reveal the new screenshots and release date shortly. We may get an announcement in a couple of hours during Sony’s State of Play. If that doesn’t happen, we’ll most likely get an announcement at the Summer Game Fest.
Enjoy the screenshots and stay tuned for more!
