MOTHER 1 and Earthbound fans, here is something for you. Fans have released a remake/re-imagining of the first MOTHER 1 game for PC, which originally came out on the NES. So, let’s dive in.
This fan remake offers a uniquely different experience from the original and should not be seen as a replacement for it. In other words, if you are playing MOTHER: Encore, you are not playing MOTHER 1.
Made entirely from the ground up using the Godot Engine, MOTHER: Encore aims to adapt the original game into a completely fresh and new experience for modern audiences.
Currently, the game contains 2 Acts, and is planning on releasing 8 Acts in total. Act 2 contains everything from Act 1 AND Act 2. Each Act will be a simple content update that adds new areas to the game so you can enjoy the entire game as a seamless experience once it’s finished.
MOTHER: Encore features a new battle system, new graphics, and a new story. It also comes with new mechanics, new overworld and dungeons, and a new soundtrack.
