FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE feature

FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE Is the First Final Fantasy Game to Join the HD‑2D Lineup

Square Enix has just announced the first Final Fantasy game to join the HD-2D lineup, FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE. This Final Fantasy game is coming to PC on October 26, and you can find below its debut trailer.

FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE is based on the first story arc of FINAL FANTASY Brave Exvius.

However, this is more than a simple port of the mobile game. The developers have rebuilt and improved it to create a full RPG experience for consoles and PC.

The game features a visual style that feels both classic and modern. Dynamic camera angles and pixel-style 3D characters will make battles and story scenes more exciting and immersive.

Like pretty much all the classic FF games, RESONANCE will have turn-based battles. Players can exploit enemy weaknesses to stagger the, breaking their defenses to seize extra turns and gain the upper hand with powerful Resonance attacks in cinematic battles.

Square Enix has also shared its PC system requirements. To run it, PC gamers will at least need an AMD Ryzen 3 2300X or an Intel Core i3-8100 with 8GB of RAM and an AMD Radeon RX 6400, an Intel Arc A580, or an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650. With this PC setup, you will be able to run it at 1080p/Low Settings with 30FPS.

For gaming at 1080p/Highest Settings with 60FPS, you will need an AMD Ryzen 5 2500X or an Intel Core i3-8100 with 8GB of RAM and an AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT, an Intel Arc A580, or an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650. The game will also use the DX12 API, and it will require 15GB of free disk space.

Before closing, I should note that FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE will use the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. However, since this is Square Enix we’re talking about, I expect the publisher to remove it sometime in 2027.

Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!
